We have booked our venue, because they book up early. We asked all our bridal party. We have a detailed budget worked out. We've been in contact with a lot of vendors and will book a photographer by the end of the month. We will probably pick a DJ and videographer in the next few months. After that we're going to sit back until at least Oct. 2012 before doing anything else.

I'm new to the 'Bee, though I've been reading it for a while now! :) So far we haven't done much planning, but I've been brainstorming and pinning like crazy. I have found a venue, but can't book it until a year in advance. That makes me completely nervous as I'd prefer to have it solidified especially considering FI actually had an opinion about it! Right now we're just focused on pinning and paring down the guest list (as close as we can two years out) and saving since we're paying for everything ourselves.
I have ideas of things that I like.. We are working on the guest list.. He said he would call and set up venu appointments, and hasn't. I start to talk to him about things and he talks about other things.
I have my venue and photographer booked. My MOH has been asked. I hvae quotes from a few DJs and florists. I have actually run into a vendor who was already booked on my date!! We have a detailed budget worked out.
I am taking a break now and just gathering inspiration as I come across it. I will probably start trying on dresses in the late summer/early fall. I have a few things I know I want (charger plates), so I am keeping an eye out for those to snap up when I see them on sale. I plan on spray painting them all silver.
I want so badly to jump right into it, but it is still too early!

I booked my Church, Venue, Photorapher, and bought MY DRESS!!! MOH had been asked. Almost ready to order my STD's and start ordering paper for the pocket folds

So far, we've looked at a couple venues and found one we love. I've played around with some ideas, but don't have anything concrete yet - I keep changing my mind!
I've e-mailed venues and made some spreadsheets comparing costs, amenities they include, etc. We'll probably get that figured out and booked within the next couple of months. All of our other decisions will work off of that, so everything else is on hold for now.
I've also contacted some photographers because photography is my #1 priority and I want it to be fantastic. My favorite photographer is really expensive, though, so I hope we can find a way to work her into the budget.
Everything else is going to wait until we get those two things figured out.
hey girl! yes brainstorming will save you much headache in the long run! we are waiting to book our venue because they only book one year out in advance, which suuuuper sucks, because i want to send STDs out but i'm willing to change my date by a week or two to get that venue. anywho! I have lots of ideas already on my phone and laptop, but actually going out and buying, putting deposits down, nothing. lol
Hi! We have booked our venue, Dj, uplighting, photographer and I asked my bridesmaids tonight. I loved the way the gifts came out for the girls. I was nervous that no one would appreciate them but they LOVED them. I wish you could see the card better but it still looks good!
We have begun the planning process about a month and a half ago. We have the church, reception venue, linens and centerpieces, dj, photographer, and the menu for the catering all finished. Our wedding party has all been asked. I thought this was supposed to be harder than this to plan? It has been smooth sailing so far :) I guess I better go knock on some wood now, lol.
I just found my dress! All I have left to do are my invitations! Now I can relax.
