I’m collecting little Lego boxes for our favors, but that’s really it. Our date isn’t yet set in stone though. We know we’re getting married, but I can’t say 100% that it’ll happen August 2, 2015, so I’m not buying anything that won’t work on any other day.

Hey ladies,

I’ve asked family to start collecting glass jars as I’d like to use for centerpieces rather than order them in. I’ll see what they all look like together around December. I should also say I am planning my wedding from another country, 12hr flight away so won’t be easy. Will be looking and booking a venue in December and just slowing getting other stuff sorted from there on. 🙂

Happy Planning! X

@VallieC

I am from Scotland but my hubby to be is from Korea and that’s where we live. We will be getting married in Scotland in traditional Scottish style and either before we leave or after we come back to Seoul, have a Korean reception for rest of his family and our friends unable to attend. 🙂

We haven’t done anything yet, apart from decide the date and the venue. We’re holding the wedding at my family home in France – we have a lovely big garden and it’s in the middle of beautiful sunflower fields, etc etc! So the venue decision was easy!

We’re thinking of sending out Save the Dates sometime before Christmas, as the first weekend of August books up quickly. Something for other August bees to consider! I’ve already had two people say they’ve already booked events for that weekend and we haven’t even officially announced the date yet! We’re planning on setting up a website before we do the Save the Dates (I can’t bring myself to use “STDs” haha), which will have info on the area and will hopefully pursuade more people to make the journey across the channel!

We don’t have a budget yet, and have had precisely two conversations about the wedding since getting engaged in June 🙂

Of course, I have a Pinterest addiction, but that’s not real planning….hehe.

Anyone else done anything? x

We just bumped our month from October to August 2015. We went to the possible venue and they suggested that we bump it up since they have a beautiful patio we want to use. We have started making our list and I have started putting aside extra cash! I found a gown, however no one seems to have it, so my Mom may make it. Lol…now it sounds like a lot!

Well we have finally (as of this weekend) settled on a hard-fast choice for our wedding location – Hampton, VA where I went to school.  We ruled out a destination wedding but it is still a bit of a destinatin for us since we don’t live in VA.  It is still an option for friends and family if they want to drive, however, so that can cut out the expense of airfare.

I showed my groom-to-be some options of ready-made bridal bouquets and boutonnières from Ebay and he helped me pick the colors (he has such a better eye for detail and decor than I do, believe it or not.  Even though he’s a man, he’s got great taste!).  Here are the flowers we chose.  It is a 17 piece set for only $209.99 with FREE SHIPPING!I’m going to copy and paste so hopefully the pics won’t come out huge. If so, let me apologize in advance.  Tell me what you ladies think.  I am in LOVE with Coral and the ring I have asked for is Rose Gold with a peach sapphire. I thought this would be a perfect addition.

So far we have booked our venue and I’ve been researching photographers like crazy! For years I thought I’d have one specific photographer whose work I love, but when I contacted her she was already booked for August 29, 2015!! I couldn’t believe it! We are meeting with a different photographer soon though and then I can relax for a while I think.

Oh and we have chosen our wedding party and asked most of them (minus 2 of my friends) to be in it. I’m hoping to ask the rest by next week!

Hey girls!

We got engaged October 11 of this year and we’ve chosen our date (August 8th 2015…yay!), booked our photographer, done engagement photos (wanted to have save the dates for Christmas), booked venue/caterer, booked DJ, booked person for wedding cake, hair…just waiting to hear back from makeup artist.

We’re moving across the country this summer so I feel a lot of pressure to plan as much as I can before we’re gone!

@Marlisle016:  Wow, you have done so much! I’m impressed! I’d like to get as much done ahead of time as I can so it’ll be less stressful as the date approaches.

@SummerOfLove:  That was exactly what I was thinking. I just want to relax and appreciate the day. It only happens once and I refuse to be stressed! 🙂

We have booked the venue and photographer at 2013 prices and bought my wedding ring.  I shall be looking at dresses this weekend while FI is away and I have LOADS pinned on my Pinterest!!

@VallieC:  We are wedding date twins!

We’ve got a running guest list (sitting at over 300 guests already! eek!); we are on an unofficial list for a venue that is under construction, and a rough wedding website done. We are looking into photographers, but don’t have anyone booked. I’m not engaged yet (proposal coming in July!) so we are also ring shopping and planning a small engagement party.

Oh, and tons of pintrest. Tons.
