1.  Have the photographer already included in my beach wedding package stay and take pics of the reception(a good friend who is amateur photographer is doing our reception pics, the pro photographer is just getting ceremony, wedding party, and sunset pics of us on the beach after ceremony)

2.  Rent a huge house on the beach and have wedding and reception there.

3.  Have a longer honeymoon.  We are planning on 7 days in Costa Rica, but 2 weeks would be awesome.

  1. Hire a wedding planner!!!
  2. Have floral centerpieces
  3. Pay for my bridesmaids dresses or their hair & makeup costs
  4. Althought I LOVE my photographer there was one I loved more, I would have booked them but they were over our budget
  5. Have a better honeymoon, I love ours but Bora Bora or a swanky resort in Thailand would have been my choice.

1) Extend our photography package with more getting ready shots and and e-session.

2) Have a real florist do our centerpieces and walking flowers instead of me doing them the day before.

3) Fancy-pants invitations instead of ones FI’s grandmother is making for us.

4) Reception dress!!! (that’s mostly just me being a brat though. 🙂 )

5) Honeymoon immediately after, instead of waiting and saving money and doing it in 6 months or a year.

Honestly, though, I am happy with what we’ve chosen. We are on a tight budget even with a generous gift from my parents (it is INSANE how much stuff costs!) but we’re going to get married, and then we’re going to have a fun party. That’s really what we wanted. Now if we didn’t have to follow ettiquette roles and could invite more friends and only the family I really care to see, that would be a different story….

I am pretty much having the wedding I want. But if I had unlimited funds I would just pay for all my guests to go to Mexico.

Hire a wedding planner for a DW in Hawaii and fly out/pay for family that wouldn’t be able afford to come otherwise.
