If you could have ANY special celebrity guest (living or dead) at your wedding, who would it be and why?

FI and I half-joke that we're going to invite Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell! I love all movies with Goldie, he loves all with Kurt, and it works great because they're a couple. We might actually send them an invite, if only to see if they'll send something back!

Elvis Presley so my MIL would hyperventilate and pass out (she's obsessed). Young Elvis though, he was prettier haha.

Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, Robert A. Heinlein, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Pratchett.  That would be one INCREDIBLE party.

...Though I'm not sure we could afford enough booze to keep that group happy, especially Churchill, even if we were to win the lottery this weekend.

ETA:  Geoffrey Chaucer gets to come too.  That guy was FUNNY.

i don't know if i would want a celebrity guest as much as i would want a celebrity band!   Bon Jovi, Green Day and Aerosmith would make me quite if they took turns turns mingling and playing music!

I'd have to agree with Lucille Ball and Elvis Presley. Growing up I was OBSESSED with Elvis Presley and Lucille Ball. I've actually been on an I Love Lucy marathon kick for the past month. Every night I watch about 4 episodes. I'm onto season 3 right now!

@lia22: I agree! And I wouldn't even mind if he brought his new wife along. Seems only fair.

    Walt Disney!

Or... someone who is just famous enough to be recognized, but is not really big or popular... like... Alan Thicke or someone. And I would just have him there as a regular guests, not a special guest or special appearance. That way people would just be like whispering and trying to figure it out "omg they know alan thicke? is that really alan thicke?"

Sir Walter Scott! One of our readings was from him, and many of the couples in his stories were interfaith, so it would be cool to have him at our wedding since DH is an atheist and I'm a Christian. Plus, a lot of my views on love was shaped by his book "Waverley," so it would be even more special.

Plus, I'm sort of a fangirl, if you couldn't tell :).

Archie and Edith from all in the family... It's a joke that my FI and I have - when he gets annoyed with me I call him Archie and when be thinks I'm whining he calls me Edith... He even wanted to put a picture of them on the head table *rolls eyes* lol

if Jon Bon Jovi was at my wedding, I would need someone to hold a napkin under my chin for the drool, and I would not be able to concentrate on my own wedding...not gonna lie!
