I am ording 5 Bill Levkoff dresses from netbride.com.  Every BM is getting anywhere from 1 to 4 sizes bigger than their street size based on the chart. I have one BM that is on vacation right now and couldn't measure herself before she left, so she said "just get me a 4 because that's what I always am, and I'll make it work." Now I am totally stressing because I need to place the order.  If I get her a 6 she might be mad, and especially if it then has to be altered down. Should I place the order as she said and just let her deal with it if it's too small? Is it possible to get a dress taken out if it's too small or would they need to place an order for more material in that case? Any experience/advise would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you!!!

Just order the size she said. Bridal salons ALWAYS make me order sizes up b/c I'm bigger chested for my frame. The dress comes in and my seamstress ALWAYS has to take the entire dress apart to alter it down to fit me. It's incredibly frustrating. I order my street size, and it always fits me really well except in the bust area, and usually my seamstress can let the zipper out just a tad to make them look nice.

I would go with what she told you to order and let her deal with it later.

Get her what she says.  I've worn Bill Levkoff BM dresses and they've always been my street size.

Where is she vacationing? It's not hard to find a tape measure and take the measurements. I'd make her measure herself.

I think it's odd that someone wouldn't just KNOW their measurements!

Yeah thanks everyone - I am halfway thinking I will just get her the size she asked for. My only concern is if it has to be taken out and we can't get extra material in time, then what? I could also wait for her to come back, have her measure herself and then just have the dresses come in a week later or so..
