What if you lose weight in between fittings?

I am curious because although I am only looking to lose three pounds, I am not sure they will be gone by my first fitting on Tuesday. What doesn't help is the holiday weekend coming up.  I'm only five feet tall, so three pounds on me does make somewhat of a difference in how my clothes fit.  Will they continue to take it in after the first fitting? Or are you on your own if you lose weight between fittings? Would they wait to take it in until the second fitting?

They will take it in as often as you need leading up to about 2 weeks before the wedding. BUT they will charge you!

Let them know you plan to lose weight and that at the following fitting they can take it in. It happens all the time.

I wouldn't worry, that's why you have multiple fittings!  Especially since you aren't looking to lose a lot of weight.

My tailor said that any alterations required after the second fitting would not cost anything unless I did something truly idiotic like lose fifteen pounds. Three should really not make much of a difference; I am five foot three and the difference that three pounds makes on my body is equivalent to how much my stomach girth will fluctuate from the beginning to the end of dinner. In other words, you might poof up a bit during the evening anyway, so it could be nice to have a bit of room. :)
