Just wondering what a culet on a OEC Moissy is? Does it serve a purpose? Is it a tiny hole at the bottom of the stone and if so does it have to part of the cut or can it just be cut like the botton or a round brilliant moissy (just a point at the bottom).

Some people think it looks pretty and more antique. Others don’t like it.

The purpose is just to better replicate an OEC. Some prefer a large culet and others none. I requested mine with smaller culet as I don’t like the look of not having one but I don’t like ones that are really large either. Great question! 🙂

@luckylady3090: Oh wow, there’s an option for no cutlet? I didn’t know that!
