Sounds like a fun weekend :)
We're just taking the kids trick or treating and then since it's the start of pheasant season, husband and the boys will go hunting which means me and my daughters will get to hang out by the fireplace and watch girly movies and probably break into their candy stash.
I'm working 3-11:30 so... no real fun for me, lol. Lots of my coworkers dress up but I'm not so much into it. I'm baking in the morning, though, so I'm excited about that!
We just moved into our house so we want to be around for trick-or-treaters. We don't want to get a reputation! Plus, we will be doing work on the house anyway.
At night we are going to rent scary movies and order a pizza.
We're hosting a small party for some of our friends..watching scary foreign movies and catering a ton of hawaiian food!
I'm supposed to be cleaning the house today, but it's not going so well...>.>"
OMG. Halloween Bash/Bachelorette Party :D :D :D We're all dressing up. I'm going to be the Queen of Hearts.. My best friend will be a Teaparty Hostess :D :D :D
DIY weekend!!! I have to sing at three services at church over the weekend, and then I'll be helping his parents and mine make our wedding day lasagnas - those babies have to set up before you eat. YUM!!
I have a few more things to finish up: menus, card box (self-made, cross your fingers) and itineraries for the bridal party - thanks Mrs. Daffodil, I think that's who is was. And I'm sure there is more I am forgetting.
I'm also making my chef fiancee a full dinner tonight as a surprise. He gets home super late and really hungry. So, hopefully, he'll be excited.
We are having a Halloween party tonight, very excited. Then tomorrow afternoon we are going to a dog parade in our neighborhood (600+ dogs in costume!) and going to families to see the neices and nephews dressed for Halloween. Then later at night we are going to another party and then home to hang out with BIL and SIL :)
we might go to a halloween party, or we might stay in and watch scary movies! who knows!! i love this time of year though!
(@hotchild- i might have to read through your blog for great movie recs!
)
Costumed Gallery Crawl tonight, tomorrow I'm doing my fave thing to do on a weekend Halloween- pass out candy to my trick-or-treaters and scare the beejesus out of them :D
The great part about Halloween in my house- I don't have to buy decorations, I just move things around a little :) Two of the old wood wheelchairs come out of other rooms to the front porch, an antique IV drip and some glass syringes, piles of old peeling books, an antique medical bag, some animal skulls and voodoo stuff, really old dark paintings, etc. It's Halloween year-around here :D
Aww, man. Well, we had plans. We were going to Bubes Brewery tonight for some friends' bands that are playing and a halloween bash.
Then tomorrow a show in Philly and party afterwards.
But Cam is sick. Any ideas what I should do to put a smile on his face since we're obvi not going out?
@KrissyBee: Thanks for checking it out ;o) Please feel free to PM me for specific recs. Some of the stuff I watch and review is in the category of "extreme" horror, which is not like fun Halloween-watching horror ;o)
Nothing halloween related, dang it!!!
Wedding stuff, homework, wedding stuff, homework, homework, wedding stuff, homework.
Halloween is my very favorite day of the whole year, and I don't have time for it. :(
Tonight we are going to our friends annual pumpkin carving contest. She's an awesome cook so I can't wait for the yummies!
Tomorrow I'm getting my hair color touched-up so I can look good for the wedding I'm in next weekend. Then we will stick around the house and give out candy. Later in the evening we will head out as Taylor Swift and Kanye West to our friends' house party.
Sunday we will be teaching our Sunday school class. The kids are going to be either exhausted or bouncing off the walls from the candy rush!
@hotchild- hey no prob! your blog is awesome, soooo much content! its true, i guess i'd be leaning towards the "fun Halloween-watching horror". I might PM you later tonight for recs!
glad to hear some of you aren't doing anything Halloween-y this weekend...We're not!
My DH is kind of anti social at parties where he doesn't know people, and we just didn't have the means to throw our own party this year...so we're just planning a normal weekend with chores, shopping, homework and movies and maybe I'll maybe a pumpkin dessert!

This is a big weekend in NYC - not only is it Halloween (complete with the biggest Halloween parade in the country) but it's also the NYC Marathon on Sunday!
I have lots of errands tonight, and then my sister and her boyfriend are coming into town tomorrow morning. We'll be hitting up brunch, watching scary movies all afternoon, and celebrating Halloween (and watching the Yanks) that evening!
Sunday, we will be at the bar before 11am (!) when the elite runners start coming by. We live about a block from the 18th mile of the marathon course. For those who don't live here, the marathon is one of the biggest parties in NYC. People line the streets for all 26 miles and the bars on 1st avenue are overflowing.
So excited! This is one of my favorite weekends of the year! What's everyone else up to?
