I don’t know whether to be frustrated or sad right now.
Backstory: I was having multiple symptoms indicative of endometriosis (painful intercourse, heavy/painful periods, back pain, frequent UTIs, discharge, etc.) and had a laparoscopy in August which proved that I do, in fact, have endo.
Once surgery was over and it’d been a month, I stopped bleeding completely (I also have implanon). I wasn’t having pain or discharge and only mild discomfort during sex.
Now I’ve noticed that I’m having discharge again…the same kind as before, but it’s also been tissue-like (it’s not CM; it’s brownish black). I’m also experiencing an increasing level of pain in my left pelvic area (which is where the pain was the most before surgery; it’s also where I had the most cysts). It’s gotten to the point of being a sharp, stabbing pain that takes my breath away for a few seconds. It’s unbearable. I’ve dealt with this pain before (prior to surgery), but I don’t understand why I’m having the pain and discharge again…it’s only been 3 months since I had the lap…so I shouldn’t be having symptoms this early again, should I?
I just don’t know if it’s worth it to call the doctor or if it’s something I need to wait out. I actually did have discharge (but minimal pain) a little over a month post-op but was assuming that was a direct result of the surgery…would I still be having ‘excess’ discharge from surgery at the beginning of August? I’ve also noticed that sex has become increasingly painful as well :/ I just don’t know what’s going on with my body! :(((
I have a 4-month follow up in December with my doctor; should I just wait it out until then and tell him this, or should I call sooner? I don’t want to ‘cry wolf’ if it really is just something from the surgery.
