All the songs with dances
Aerosmith- Dont wanna miss a thing- Normally I love them but I HATE that song
My heart will go on
Im still working on mine :)
Nickleback, I really can not stand thier music so the are definiately do not play.
All line dances, the Electric Slide, the conga line, the Chicken Dance, the YMCA, and the Macarena.
macarena & chicken dance
my humps & i touch myself are off the list, i don't think they're apporpriate for FI's reserved family (my family probably wouldn't care though)
Macarena for sure, and now I'm adding all of the others on here!
Everything was totally allowed for us (or for people to request) except for the Chicken Dance and the Macarena!
@bRooklynRocks: Ull have to u tube it! Its horrible I remember doing it when I was 5 roller sakting!
I'm with Monekeygirl. No line or group dances were our big thing. I just really don't like them, and our guests were up and dancing all night without them :)
The chicken dance!! My FMIL and her family are insisting that it be played and FI and I told them that we don't want it played. She said she is going to go to the DJ and say that she is the mother of the groom and she wants the chicken dance to be played. My dad had the great idea of asking the DJ to write a little part in our contract saying that it cannot be played.
@ILuvDance17: Your DJ will have you make a DNPL and you can put it on it, The DJ will just say he doesnt have it.
"I Got a Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas.
I know there are a LOT of people that absolutely love that song, but I personally can't stand it.
@krazeekat: Yeah. I used to love that song, too. For like, a week. :P
I've just started, but I'm personally vetting all my songs to make sure that they don't sound sweet but are really about breaking up. :P
Celebrate good times,
jump around by house of pain (I want Kris Kros Jump instead! lol)
macarena
chcken dance
Shout!
Get down tonight
Cotton Eye Joe!!!
Aww...the poor little Chicken Dance....and its maligned cousins, the Macarena, the Electric Slide, and the Hokey Pokey. It must be a regional thing, but I cannot tell you the last time I went to a wedding that they did not do at least a two or three of that list.
When I have my reception I hope to avoid all of the above. Still, I will point out that a lot of guests LIKE those. They look forward to seeing Aunt Betty out there on the dance floor flapping her "wings."
I will also put on the do not play list any song that reminds me of my ex bf -- who willl be there.
Funkytown, Chicken dance, wild thing, the sign
The band had a playlist so i just listed songs from their playlist i didn't want!
