I wanna know ONE thing about your reception that was just unbelievably amazing!!
For me (besides all of it ), was when it was getting close to it wrapping up, the DJ had ALL the guests get on the dance floor and form a circle around me and my hubby… and then they all sang DONT STOB BELIEVING… It was just amazing to be literally the center of attention, and everyone just singing to us. it was an awesome way to get ready to close out the night!!…
Oh, and i loved our final end song choice… Take me home tonight!!
So bees, reminisce about your reception and tell me something that was just amazing!

My reception was cut so short my guests didn’t have time to enjoy everything. I would say they loved the photo booth the most.

I’m not married yet, but I wanted to comment so I could subscribe to this thread, I’m eager to see all the answers.
I will say, I went to a friends wedding last year and it was carnival themed. It was amazing. They had a guy spinning cotton candy and there was a popcorn machine. I just loved the theme and all the details that went with it.

We also did “Don’t Stop Believin” at the end of the night. Super fun moment!

Everyone raved about the food after our wedding. We (like everyone else!) were on a tight budget but we really wanted to treat our guests right, so we had a lunch wedding. It was SO MUCH CHEAPER to have the lunch than a dinner, so we were able to have the served, plated lunch and the food was delicious! We also had cupcakes instead of a big cake and the guests really liked being able to try different flavors.

Weddings not gonna be for another couple years so who knows but in super excited about our wedding favors that SO and I just talked about. He’s a chef and I’m a photographer, we’re having a small fall outdoor crockpot wedding with five different kinds of fall soups and chilis, homemade bread (my SO is an amazing baker too) and salad. Anyways since food and photography is so important to us and we cook and photograph together all the time, we plan on making a fall cookbook as favors for the wedding including all the recipies for dishes we had at the reception as well and our favorite fall foods. Since were havig such a small weddig we can get them printed really nice and actually give our guests something they will want to keeep hopefully. I’m super excited!

@bebero: +1 Our DJ was amazing – I didn’t stop dancing all night and the guests were raving about him at the wedding and after the wedding. He even stepped up and acted like a Day Of Coordinator.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Father's Vineyard Church/ A Touch of Class Banquet Center
Our DJ was outstanding and kept the dance floor full all night. Plus the open bar of wine and beer didn’t hurt either!!

The fabulous Miss Jubilee & the Humdingers played our wedding & it was perfect! They added so much to our reception! Like ourselves, most of friends are swing dancers, so – old theater + beautiful wood dance floor + fabulous swing band + swing dancers = amazing! Even our friends & family that don’t dance, loved watching the band & dancers. People said they felt like they were in a movie, lol! Here’s a clip of them playing, though this isn’t from our wedding, but it gives you good idea of their energy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxOZD546axo

The most amazing part of my reception was that it was in CUBA!!!!!! We had our own private restaurant for the dinner and dancing. When it got late the older people left and it was just us and all our friends (over 40 of us) and we danced til 2am then took the 5 minute bus ride back to our resort and all went to get late night snacks together at the lobby bar…it was awesome!!!!!!
