Its basically a online board where people "pin" what they like,what they are interested in. A pic, a recipe, anything. Plus there are some amazing ideas on there! Like the ones below.

I have yet to figure it out. It seems basically... recipes and home decorating ideas. (oh , and a few ideas for kids, if the people you follow on there post such things.)
Pinterst, definition of: The greatest thing ever. A time waster like no other. Gives great ideas and humorous jibes towards everything.
Let's use it in a sentence: I love Pinterest. ;) I REALLY DO LOVE PINTEREST!!!!

I really like it b/c I no longer have to "bookmark" sites I find neat ideas from.. I can just "pin it" and organize it how I would like....
ie. The birthing pool I want for my homebirth has been "pinned" on my "last leg of pregnancy" board. All I have to do is click the pic & it takes me to the site!
Works great for items you find on websites that you want to buy, decorating ideas you find on blogs, tutorials for DIY & crafts, recipes you find, and you can "repin" things that others find as well (so you don't even have to go look for it)

Like above, the BEST thing ever! I've found SO many GREAT wonderful tips, ideas, recipes, etc. My obbession lately is wedding stuff. Besides seeing other's great ideas, I like it b/c whatever I find online I can pin it to my board and once it's pinned on your board you just have to click the picture and it'll take you right to the source. For instance you see a pair of shoes you just love, but maybe you don't have the money right now, just pin it to your board and a few weeks later when you have the money you can click on your pin and it'll take you right there :-) It's VERY addicting :) But totally worth it for all the cool stuff you can find :_)

I just got invited yesterday. I'm already hooked. I'm always late to the party with new popular websites (myspace back in the day, facebook, etsy, now pinterest)... I always say I'll never join them!
Exactly. I use to copy the link into my draft emails and that's how I saved ideas.
my favorite part of it is that it's always linked back to the original source (given that the originall pinner did a direct pin) so you always know the source.
I use it for baby, party, styles, home decorating ideas, etc. A lot of people use it for weddings too.
Think polyvore but better. :)
If someone could send me an invite too I would appreciate it.. I am the same way too, I know a lot of people are on it but didn't know exactly what it is.. I'm like so, you pin things?? haha.

Ok... maybe I'm an idiot, but I have the button on my toolbar-- how the heck do i pin things? I'm on a page with something I like, and I click the button and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong??
