- Wedding: June 2013
So, I have had some complications when it came to ordering my wedding bands. At first it was just dealing with the stores, because they seemed to be filled with sales reps the equality of car salesmen; happy to make false promises about possible deals or sales on the items and all ready to try to steer you toward the more expensive options (and hey if you can’t afford it we have a credit card for you that will make that problem go away.) 😛
My FI and I got over these issues and picked out rings that we liked. We had to order them for sizing and because of that lost out on a sale going on that weekend, because I to quote the manager “That deal only counts if you walk out of the store with something, not if you order it; even if you spend the money to qualify for the special. If you want to order your rings and pay for the ones in the case, then you can exchange them, minus any restocking fee.” That was the only way for us to get the sale/deal that everyone else got just by purchasing something out of the case that weekend.
My FI and I decided to just eat it and not worry about the sale/deal of the weekend just so we could have the security of knowing the rings were dealt with. My FI’s ring came in first and he went into try it on, but they apparently ordered his ring in women’s sizes so the ring had to be reordered. Today I called in to check. After explaining and being put on hold, asked questions and being on hold again they came back to let me know that they had mixed up the rings in the system. So when he needed a new sized ring they cancelled my original order and are ordering my band in his size, which is too big for me. His order seems to have been cancelled all together. I ask you what is so hard about ordering a ring?
Anyone else having problems with the vendors, like mixed up sizes, colors, menus, etc? What happened?
