For me, it’s storylines & outcomes of books & movies. My memory fails me at this about 90% of the time! It’s so frustrating. I’m good WHILE I’m reading or watching it & can usually reiterate it to someone pretty well for awhile after, but after awhile I might as well watch it or read it again because the details are so obsolete by then. My hubby is the exact opposite. A re-run of Seinfeld that he saw 5 YEARS ago can come on, & he’ll be like “Oh, this is the one where….” WHAT?! How could you POSSIBLY remember that?! I wish my mind worked like that :/

Phone numbers. I suck at remembering them.

okqueenbee: Hands down, where I put my phone. LOL I’m constantly asking DH where I put it, he gets so frustated because I am always losing it. I know that’s more of forgetting, but I am also not good with remembering names. I will shake your hand and say hello when I meet you, and if you ask me 2 minutes later, most likely I would have forgotten by then. Bad habit! With my job, I am always meeting new people. Never work with the same people every day, so it gets hard to remember peoples names especially when I know I will most likely only work with them once.

Song titles and artists. I can sing you the whole song word for word but don’t ask me it’s title or who sings it.

- Wedding: April 2016 - Gorse Hill, Surrey, UK
okqueenbee: EVERYTHING. I walk into a room to do something or pick something up, and immediately forget what it was, despite telling myself at least twice before I get there to remember it. My short term memory is so bad 🙁

Names. I will never remember your name. It’s absolutely horrible.

Where I laid something down at. My phone, my keys, and one time my engagement ring. It drives my FI batty that I can remember the plot from some TV show, or some random event from when we were dating, or the millions of names for friends of my parents and family, but if I put my phone down and turn around, I won’t be able to find it until he calls it.

Dates. I combat that problem by programming them into my phone.

How to spell a lot of double-consonant words: Necessary, occasionally, occurrence, etc (Did I get those right? Chrome won’t do the red underline on WB for me like it does on other websites)

The worst is when I pick up a book and start reading and get about 5 pages in and think “this sounds really familiar…” and it’s because I’ve already read that book! It’s happened several times. Geesh. I’m horrible about dates. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Holidays all of it. Awful. I hope my friends have learned it’s just me and don’t take offense!
