A friend of mine got married at a B&B in Cape May in May of 08, and I wore the JCrew dress Lorelei in Evergreen. Comfortable, photographed beautifuly, and I've been able to wear it to 2 other weddings. Love that dress.
Here's the lorelei dress in question, just in white :)
it's currently on sale at jcrew, hehe...
@flamingred - WOW! That is so pretty, what a glam look, you look way better than the model!
Awwww Thank you Krissy-I wanted to make sure everyone knew I didn't wear red eyeshadow or leaves in my hair. LOL!
@flamingred - LOL! although that might have enhanced the look...j/k!!
This is the one I am currently obsessed with. May or may not end up going with it. It's either this one, or everyone picks their own LBD.
@flamingred, gorgeous dress! wow you look fabulous!
About half my bridesmaids loved their bridesmaid dress and were like, "i can't wait to wear it to a party!"obviously with some kind of a belt, not the bridesmaidy sash we gave them.
And if not...well, they didn't pay for them so whatever! I know it wasn't everyone's style (or color preference) but nobody complained and really appreciated the work that went into making them.
It was modeled after a blue jersey banana republic dress i have that is tank-style with a wrap that everyone loves on me.
@flamingred-that dress is so pretty!!!
@ejs-i like those dresses! It's nice that they can wear it again & it doesn't look bridesmaid-y
flamingred - that is one awesome dress!!! You look absolutely gorgeous!!
ejs - those are great, and no matter what they say, they can definitely wear them again.
These are the ones I want for my girls-They're from MORI LEE AFFAIRS.We are planning a beach destination wedding and these look so airy & romantic to me.
Anything from Jcrew! I love that they don't look "bridesmaidy". I'm making my girls all pick a dress in silk taffeta in the light sage color. I don't care which style they pick as long as they match fabric/color wise.
I am in love with mine right now. They are from Alfred Angelo.
I've been a maid 4 times and will never wear any of the dresses again. The only one I would maybe consider is one coming up, since it's JCrew. But at the same time, it's chiffon, which is a very BM material to me.

Or even better, got to wear?
Is anyone still rocking a BMs dress, or are they destined for the back of the wardrobe no matter what?
I've decided to get mine made, but I want them to be as awesome and re-useable as possible. So, knee-length A-line skirt, possibly a separate (but matching) top? Maybe with a neckline to suit each girl.
What do you think? Ideas? Past successes/inspirations?
