It seems like anything goes for favors- how are we supposed to choose? What is the best, most memorable favor you have seen at a wedding and why? What are your favors and were they an easy choice? I want favors people will actually enjoy! Help bees!!!

I had a friend who made small jars of strawberry jelly for favors and it was great! It was a nice favor that we actually used and enjoyed 🙂

I have only been to a handful of weddings, most of which I can’t remember the favours of. But the most recent wedding I went to had chocolate as favours on the day which I loved! Then they sent out a 3 picture frame with photos from the wedding with the thank you notes, which was nice.
At ours we are hoping to have our escort cards double as favours – they will be personalized bookmarks (we hope so anyway!). Probably have something else already at the tables as well, but not sure what.

@MrsJuly14: the best favour we had was small jars of homemade jam. Our favours will be two homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Photobooth and photobooth

I went to disneyland and bought mickey ears as salt and pepper shakers.. a month later I received salt and pepper angels and demon shakers as a wedding favour which was cool….than 4 weddings later, all had salt and pepper shakers…so I have more salt and pepper shakers than tables! so if its not edible I would look out for repeats 🙂 Im having succulents and a photobooth with a twist..its not an actual photobooth but more like a red carpet thing where the photographer takes a pic on your way in and gives you the photo later in the evening, nothing engraved with our names on except maybe the photo which at the corner will have our names and wedding date and will probably not show if put in a frame.

Wine! We are thinking donation (I know a lot of bees are against that but we both really like it) and hopefully a photobooth

I don’t really remember favors at most weddings. The most recent wedding I went to had a candy bar and a photo booth. I never really thought of a photo booth as a favor, more as an “extra”, but to each his own.
My favors were little boxes filled with truffles, a customized Yankee candle (generic scent, but the label had our photo on it instead), and a matchbook. They went over really well and none were left behind!

Best favors I’ve seen have always been food. My favor was jordan almonds (Italian tradition).
I once was in a wedding where the bride wanted to be creative and give us all little evergreens to plant. It was a cute idea in theory, but less than half the people took them, and I had no idea what to do with mine.
Food is the way to go, or photobooth.

A CD with 12 of the songs from the wedding was my favorite.
Dont know yet.

I’ve been to a few weddings over the last few years and have seen a few different favours. Some lovely, some not so much:
– Personalised jars of honey
– Personalised key ring
– Candy bar
– Bag of macadamias
– Sugar coated almonds
– Wedding cake
For ours i’m thinking of filling cute little jars filled with personalised rock candy. Something like these:

@MrsJuly14: A friend gave out little boxes with wild flower seeds in them. I loved that its sweet, cheap and lasting.
We had home made fudge as our favours. My mum was an absolout trooper making it all.

My favourite favour was at my uncle’s wedding 15 years ago – they gave out little pine tree saplings. My parents planted theirs in the backyard and it’s still there and it’s huge now!
For our wedding we gave homemade jam in various flavours (peach, raspberry, strawberry, mixed berry) and it was really well received, and fun to make.

@mollie246: We got those exact ones at my cousins wedding. Still have an almost full jar left because they were not the best tasting. Sorry.
Best was a giant chocolate chip cookie.
We gave out real poker chips for the casino where we got married. One of our guests won $2500 off of the $20 chip.

I loved the heart-shaped measuring spoons one couple gave as favors from their wedding. Cute and useful!
I hate anything personalized. Ugh.
I didn’t do favors.
