I actually went with neither. As I had a long dress, it was much easier. Especially when it came to using the ladies room. :)

I'm wearing a proper corset (a steel-boned corset based on an 1873 pattern) with 6 suspender straps attached, stockings and silk knickers. I wouldn't wear tights on my wedding day.

If you're worried about fiddling with straps every time you go to the loo, just wear the knickers over the straps! I wear stockings most days and it's never a hassle.
