I found a really nice pair at Victoria Secrets a while back that was for a horribly cheap practically see through bridesmaid dress. Anything with lines would have stuck out like a sore thumb. I still wear them they have absolutely no lines and does not ride up because they are made of some kind of stretchy material and has comfy like grips on all edges of the panties. They are sort of cut like bikini boyshorts. They are Called Victoria Secrets hiphuggers.
boyshorts of some kind for sure... i hate thongs and they irritate the heck out of me... a really thin maybe lace boyshort is smooth and comfy
