I don’t have much to compare them too but I have one pair from “Motherhood” which is ideal for me right now. They have a bit of streatch to them and the band comes in different heights which is nice. I am wearing a pair of coorderoys from there at the moment which looks like normal cords but feels like yoga pants! I may just take them in and wear them post pregnancy too they are so comfortable

I absolutely LOVE my Target full pannel jeans. I bought a size up from normal just incase my thighs decide to increase with my belly. I am 25 weeks now and they are still great.

I have one pair of Seven for All Mankind from Pea in the Pod and one pair of Liz Lange from Target. Aside from the COST ($170 vs $11 on clearance) the Sevens are the clear winners on all fronts:

The denim is thicker yet stretchier, keeping all my expanding thigh mass compressed into a pleasant leg shape

The panel is softer and there’s more of it: on the Target pants, the panel is stretched thin and doesn’t taper as neatly toward the top. Instead of being lady-shaped it’s just kind of a tube. I feel just the right amount compressed and contained without feeling smothered and uncomfortable.

The crotch looks funny on the Target pants. Is that a teeny weenie?

If you’re going to buy just one pair of jeans to get you through the 6+ months (don’t know when you started wearing maternity pants, but I grew out of my regular jeans pretty quickly, and expect to extend into postpartum somewhat) make sure you LOVE them. Price per wear, my Sevens were a great investment. Even better if you can get them on eBay or at a consignment shop! (If that’s your style – no shame here!)

i bought a pair of paige denim jeans with side panels (i don’t like the way the full panel feels on my belly) and i love the way they fit. they look exactly like the non-maternity, which is great, because i hate the way some maternity jeans make the crotch look baggy like @drlolaz said, these absolutely don’t do that. they’re also great because they have a pretty big selection of lengths (i need 33-34″ inseams and many places don’t carry maternity jeans that long). my friend also bought the same kind and raves about them too (she bought the petite length). zulily is having a sale on them right now where most are around $68-75. i tried on a pair of old navy full panel jeans and they were tight in all the wrong places, my butt was squished and the panel made me feel like i was being suffocated it was so tight (and i’m 16 weeks and just barely showing), but old navy jeans don’t fit me in general.

I got about 90% of my pregnancy wardrobe at Old Navy. The prices are great and the clothes were comfortable. I bought a pair of the demi panel at the beginning of my pregnancy and they have come in handy now post partum as I still have a little mama belly but dont want to wear the full panel. I did however wear full panel exclusively from 18-40 weeks.

I never cared for my Target jeans but they were cheap. I loved my Thyme Maternity boot cut jeans from Babies R Us. So comfortable and I didn’t have the problem of them slipping down all the time, like the Target brand.

I got mine from Gap and I love them, they’re very flattering on me.  I looked at Target but I need tall jeans and they don’t really carry much selection at Target.  I’ve never liked Old Navy jeans for me so I just avoided those.  I avoided anywhere that didn’t carry pants in a Tall size as well. I have only had one pair of jeans the whole time!

I would make sure you buy full panel pants.  You can fold them down early in pregnancy but you will probably be happy you have it towards the end, otherwise you might end up buying more pants.

I had a pair of Sevens (found on clearance at Pea in the Pod) and a pair from Gap.  I liked them equally.

Old Navy hands down. Several different styles to choose from.

Other things like shirts or dresses come from Target, Old, Navy, Zulily… but I have made out the best with Old Navy jeans. However I am SHORT and their jeans are the only ones I haven’t needed to hem

I actually bought mine from h&m and loved them. Same price point as target but fit me like normal jeans, supported the belly and made my booty look good lol. I also found a pair of sevens at a used baby store and liked those too. I went to MM and target but they were all baggy in legs, not enough strech
