That is WAY too much money considering you aren’t doing a reception. I would not pay $150. Have you looked around for other makeup artists? I won’t be getting my done professionally but I have had some quotes of around $100, some even around $50.

I should also add that since I will be doing my own makeup, I will probably be spending close to $100 on products. I really want an airbrush foundation and good primer. Makeup is so damn expensive!

$85 for airbrush ($35 if not getting that done)

    $15 for lashes

$5 for a tube of the lip stick she’ll put on me for touch-ups.

So I’m paying a total of $105, paid $15 for the trial.  I could have cut that significantly but I wanted to be airbrushed to make sure it STAYS PUT!

Was your quote for airbrush or not?

Its nuts isn’t it?!? I live in ontario also and it seems that every makeup artist seems to be in and around 100$-150$!!!

As for you though I wouldnt spend so much given how your wedding is planned. DO you have a friend that can do it maybe? Definitely search around!

UGH I suck at doing make up too so I’m probably just going to pay for it.

@sweetchiquita12:  I probably wouldn’t pay that much, but it’s all dependent on your budget and how confident you are doing your makeup yourself!

I’m having my regular hair stylist do makeup for me at our hotel.  It will be $100 for me and $80 for BM’s.  She’s doing a free trial though.  I thought about going another route and going to a mall or salon for less- but I’m willing to pay more not having to run around the place the day of my wedding 🙂  I live in the Washington D.C. area, if that makes a difference.

@sweetchiquita12:  that’s a way better price! your bestfriends cousin was so trying to rip you off because it’s bridal makeup. Stupid.

Mine is $195 for make-up and an extra $35 for false lashes.  I think I’d probably just do it myself, given the chance to go back in time before my contract!

@sweetchiquita12:  I don’t think that’s so bad. You get what you pay for, generally. If you’re going to be photographed, it’s probably a good idea to have a professional do your makeup.

I’d probably spend more on products alone if I were doing my own makeup (might be the case, don’t know yet).

Mine is $170 for both hair and makeup.  $95 for makeup and $75 for hair.  For everyone else it is $50 for each.  $20 for lashes if you want them.

I’m so not trying to pay too much for my make-up.  I wasn’t thinking the price would be anywhere near $100.  I was hoping it would be just under $50.00 or even less.  Maybe I will have to see about doing my own make up.
