I have been curious as to whether or not there is an average demographic of women on here. I know we are all unique individuals, but I am just wondering whether or not a specific type of woman is attracted to weddingbee.
Please, only answer poll. No need to post in thread. Thanks! I want the most bees on here to answer as possible!
It's kinda hard to vote in your poll since people can fall into multiple categories. Ie, if you have your Master's or PhD, you're likely falling into the "multiple degrees" option as well. This will probably skew your results...
Yea I think you're going to see selection bias here just like other polls... people with less education might be less inclined to click on a thread that has to do with education :) But nevertheless I second the request for a JD or MD poll answers.
Ahhhhhh....sorry. I am kind of rebellious and even though you said not to post I just couldn't control myself!
I clicked the wrong thing! Well, technically its right but I fell into two categories!! I have an AS and am in school full time for my BS - sorry if I skewed your results!
I am interested to see the outcome of this poll.
Both DH and I hold bachelor's of science degrees (yay engineering majors!)!
Hopefully people will continue to comment, because otherwise this thread will drop off the front page and no one will see it.
Interesting poll!
Agreed...we need to post to keep it moving up.
I have a Masters of Education...finished when I was 26.
I think it would be interesting if we post degree type and ages since we need to post something.
I've completed a BA but I'm in my 3rd of 4 years of medical school (MD).
I graduated from a technical school but am currently enrolled in College working towards my bachelors... I selected technical school though.
I got my BA in English & a T4 certification to teach grades 7-12 (expired now) when I graduated college back in 1997 at age 21.
I am excited about these average bee/demographic polls. :-D
Man, I am such a dork. My BA was in econ and almost everyone I was friends with in undergrad is at least getting a masters - I feel so undereducated compared to them.
I'm really the only still enrolled full-time?! I can't believe that. I'm still finishing my Bachelor's at this point, and hope to go on to work on an MA then PhD.
@veganglam: I'm still full time!
I major in English with and 8-12 certification and minor in History. Considering double majoring instead of the minor, but I'd like to graduate in 4 years instead of 5 and student teaching eats a whole semester.
I put some college only because I'm still in school. I am going for my associate's degree then my bachelor's and eventually my masters. I think it would of been nice to have a spot that said currently in collge.
You are separating out all the Doctorate degrees but not the others. Maybe combine JD, MD, and PhD into just anyone with a Doctorate?
I have a Doctorate but I do not fit any of your catagories. (I am a DVM and I know I am not the only one on the Bee) :-)
@ddubzz: She could just add up percentage of people with degrees. It's not like you can have an MD or PhD w/o a bachelors.
I didn't know what to put, I have a Bachelor's, but I'm going for my Master's right now. And really trying to convince myself to work on this term paper...
As a pharmacist, I have a professional doctorate degree, so I went with PhD. Technically, though, I'm a PharmD.
Great poll! Very interesting.
I am currently in the process of getting my Bachelors, and I have no intentions of continuing.
Master's degree in economics. Just had to say as I've only graduated last week. Haha!
BA in Business with a focus in Finance. Soon will be going for my Masters once I get hooked up with a company who will pay for it...its expensive!
I have my associate's in architectural drafting. I hope to return one day to get a Bachelor's in Architecture, but with 2 kids and a husband, I don't see that happening any time soon. And the only reason I didn't continue my education after getting my degree is because there are no schools in the area that offer what I want and my daughter was 3 at the time so I couldn't just up and relocate.
B.A. in Communication. Want a Master's but have no idea what in...maybe Psych or Communication.
I am ABD on my PhD
ABD = "All But Dissertation". I'm in the process of finishing up my dissertation to defend next semester and finally get my PhD in Astrophysics. Other than that, I have a BS in Physics.
Audzinluv- I have my BA in English too, for the same grades! I got my Master's in K-12 though! So cool! I saw that T4 and had to comment.LOL
BA here too, but I have also taken classes since then, just not towards a degree.
I'll be getting my masters eventually... gotta get out of debt first.
BS and MBA here. I have considered going back for a doctorate but I need to replenish my writing tank first.
Dual BA's and a MS -- all that so I can make less than 30,000 a year, so not a great investment!
