Every single Monday morning a woman I work with comes into my office and asks the same question:
“Soooooooo, are you ready for the wedding yet?!?”
She has asked me this every single Monday morning since June of last year. I kid you not. It’s kind of become the running joke. I know she is trying to be kind and nice, but the truth is she NEVER talks to me aside from that one question every Monday morning. It is the weirdest thing ever.
So, what is the most annoying/repetative question you get asked about your wedding??

My mother asking (even prior to the ring), ‘When are you getting married?!’
Ummm…he hadn’t even asked yet…and now that he has? The same question!!!
Even though she knows he’s not working, we just bought a house, etc…we are BROKE! And there’s not a chance I would accept a penny from her because she already tried to take over and get us married BEFORE the ring! Ugh!

Since we got engaged, more than 2 years before the wedding, people have been asking me this! We were out with friends this weekend, and some people who we really don’t know that well were asking if they would get +1’s!

“How much was that? Expensive?”

@sara_tiara: I had a girl ask me when she had been drinking (so maybe she wouldnt normally). I felt it was awkward if I didnt say yes, of course. So, now shes coming. I would not have invited her otherwise :-/

I HATE IT when people assume they are invited.
For example “I can’t wait for your wedding” or “I will be waiting for my invite”. Yes keep waiting because you will not get one!
OHHHH I almost forgot this one from my Future Mother-In-Law when ever she does not like what I am doing. “Why don’t you ask so and so about what they did on thier wedding”
My last reply to this was ” Thanks mom but I already know I do not want to get xxxx, talking to so and so will not change my mind :)”

“Are you still goiing through with it?”
My mom isn’t coming and all of her family isn’t coming, but yeah, I STILL AM!

I hate “Are you excited?” and “How much have you spent so far?”
‘are you excited’ and ‘how much did your ring cost’…. money questions always throw me for a loop…. O.o who does that?

I would only be annoyed if someone was probing for personal information like asking about my budget or bugging to see a picture of the dress, but just generally asking how its going wouldnt irritate me

@maggiemay0811: I have yet to come up with a graceful way to get around this….I keep just saying “well we’re only having 60 people, so….”. But a lot of people are not getting the hint. The rude answer is “if you have to ask, then you aren’t invited”.

“Are you pregnant?” Really? Like 8 or 9 times.Sometimes they don’t even ask, they just stare at my belly or touch it to see if there’s a bump!
I guess that here if you are young and getting married then a miraculous conception automatically happens, (for me it would be miraculous anyhow).
It doesn’t actually annoy me, it’s just a reoccurring thing that I really didn’t expect to happen so often.

“That sounds expensive” and “Why don’t you elope instead?”
