I really liked the tasting. But I think the most fun (so far) has been the engagement picture session. Our photographer is so energetic and bubbly that we actually had a good fun time with her.
I had a great time at the bridal fair we went to while planning our wedding. My husband won my dress in a "make a toilet paper dress" competition, and he came in second place in a cake eating contest. Plus, with all the free food samples, champagne, etc... we had a great time!
@BayStateBride: The e-pic session was fun, but the same time it seemed surreal.
@Mrs. Spring: The bridal show was more fun than I thought it would be. I liked the fact that we were able to take care of almost everything at once. Plus, we were able to get deals and specials.
I like the DIY. It was frustrating at times, but I loved the end results.
I really loved working with the florist! Hated taking pictures, but only because it was really windy and my feet were killing me!
@mmsva: What did you DIY? I strassed my shoes and designed my programs.
@mittens111211: I got tired of smiling all day. It made my mouth dry. lol
@WILLIAKELLLB: I think my hubby enjoyed that a little more than me. lol
@trugem: My BIL and DH made wet-fold origami Koi. BIL made the table numbers. I made the escort cards, programs, Yay flags and mizuhiki cord knots for the boutonnieres.

I've always loved anything stationery-related, so I thought I was going to have the most fun with the invitations. But they were such a chore...the stationer tried to get us to go with the most expensive paper and envelopes which would have had us paying like $15 an invite, and then we didn't like the graphic she chose as the theme so she had to find a new one, she got our date wrong on TWO proofs and repeated a line on another proof...I thought going with a stationer was going to be a lot simpler than trying to DIY them, but apparently I was wrong.
The most fun I had was venue hunting. When we walked into our venue for the first time, we knew it was the one. We went and saw three more afterwards but it was no contest. I just couldn't get my fill of looking...everything was perfect.
@linguo42: Sorry you had a hard time with your invitations. At least the venue search was easy.
There wasn't much to choose from where I am from. I wish we had more options.
the most fun i've had was at our engagement party and trying on dresses turned out to be surprisingly fun!!! i was dreading it but i loved it
Planning our Honeymoon has been the most fun for me! It's all play and no stress. Plus, it's the first time we're really going on a trip together.
My favorite part ended up being the cake and food tastings. :) I also really loved honeymoon planning, that vacation after all the chaos was sooo needed and sooo amazing!
I thought I was going to love the dress shopping part, but it ended up being too stressful and confusing and I kind of wish I could redo that whole experience.
I always pictured trying on dresses and being the most important event of wedding planning... I found it quite stressful! The most fun I have had so far is planning and DIYing.
Dress shopping and honeymoon planning were my favorites. And my bachelorette party. It was great spending some quality time with my girls before the big day!
Haha, for our wedding vow renewal next year I've had the challenge of wanting to DIY for things that will be low budget, small and light to pack for a DWVow Renewal. I think I finally got things figured out, a cross between Elegant/Mexican flair/fun :) Mostly without silk flowers or ruffles, because DH "only likes real flowers". I can't wait to make things and post pictures. :)
If we go the route having the reception at our house (or at least some portion of festivities - maybe rehearsal dinner?) I think fixing up teh yard together. Sure, it will be a TON of work, but we have already talked about how fun it will be to plant flowers in our garden together knowing that they'll be for the wedding - as well as for years after. My step dad has offered to help build an arch.

What is the most fun/or what do you think will be the most fun part about planning your wedding?
Before getting engaged, I always thought that dress shopping would be the most fun thing to plan. I picked my dress quicker than I thought I would. lol I did have a lot of fun planning the honeymoon, first dance, and as surprising as it may seem, I had so much fun finding weave. lol
