I was gonna say a knife set and then I saw your $50 Tongue out Oh I know, my most favorite thing that I have received thus far is my Corningware Set.  It looks like this – it has glass lids as well as plastic ones to keep/stack in the fridge.  I can use it in the oven, microwave, fridge, they’re FAB!

I really love the Kitchenaid hand mixer we got for about $30 and the food scale.  Pyrex sets are great too.  And I really like the idea of a mix of items, like baking sheets, measuring cups, and spatulas.

I agree with @soonerpsych

Some of the smaller things that i wanted we didn’t get. Like the rolling pin and cookie scoop. Go for a couple smaller items that go together so it doesn’t seem like you are buying a bunch of random stuff.

And another thing i liked is when someone got us the slow cooker they included one of their recipes! Some one else that got us out china soup bowls gave us a soup recipe. I thought it was a neat way to personalize it!

Or if you are close enough with her just ask her to tell you what she wants to most lol I know this takes the surprise out but i had some friends call me and ask me and I kinda liked it because i got those things!

My top registry items about $50 are a food processor and flatware (5-piece place setting or 3-piece hostess set).

Honestly, if someone spent $50 to scoop up all the little $5-10 things on our registry, I’d be ecstatic.

I really DO want a flashlight and a garlic press and one of those lemon juicers…

But that’s me. Some brides just throw that stuff in there to provide options for people with not a lot of discretionary income–depends a bit on the person. I think what you’re doing is lovely and so considerate, but do remember that a gift is a gift–it’s just a gesture from you to her, so you don’t have to second-guess what SHE wants, get whatever’s on the registry that best represents how YOU feel about her or the relationship you have with her. Can’t go wrong there.

Anything home made. My brothers girlfriend gave my cousin(in law?) some cooking supplies as well as hand-written recipe cards.

My brothers girlfriend also made some pillow covers for her/their place and I said “oh, those would make a lovely wedding gift, hint hint!” and if I get them I just know I’ll treasure them the most.

I’ve also asked an older close friend and my mom for recipe cards of some the easier things they made when they got married.
