Souzie :  You do you! 🙂

I personally consider velvet to be romantic, luxurious, even regal.

j9marie :  oh those are cute but oof, expensive 😣.  But if I didn’t mind to spend the money, I would get one haha

Its cute, but not for me. I’d probably buy a nice vintage ring box if I was going to shell out that amount of money but because thats more to my taste.

As it is, we just have a jewelry box DH and I both keep our rings in next to our bed.

They are the cutest things but I can’t personally spend that kind of money on it 🙁  my “plus-size”, size 8 ring probably wouldn’t fit height wise either. Darn. I bought a handmade mini macaron style purse for like 20 buck with a zipper and keep my rings in there when I travel and have a vintage swan ring holder dish thingy. Keep the pics coming with the boxes ladies! 🙂

Just had to google this. Not only are the ridiculously expensive ring boxes, they’re absolutely hideous! They remind me of the boxes you get at cheap jewellery stores like Goldmark.

MsAfarian :  You make me regret complimenting you on one of your recent threads.  Lol…  I was so quick to uplift you with kind words yet here you are so quick to criticize something many Bee’s love and own.  What gives?  If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.

j9marie :  My dislike of a box is not a reflection on any of the Bee’s who choose to own them. It’s a reflection on my own personal tastes and preferences.

Velvet looks really tacky in my own opinion.

Not everyone needs to like the same things, and this is an open forum. This is a generic thread about Mrs. Boxes, and not OP posting her newly purchased box for all to see.

I apologize if any bee’s who happen to like and own the Mrs. Box took my comment as a personal attack on their belongings, but it was far from such.

MsAfarian :  Yes, the thread asks what is the point of a Mrs Box as in what is the purpose, not do you like them or not?  You posted photos from your elopement, I don’t think you want me or anyone to start picking it apart and telling you what we found hideous, cheap or tacky about your day.  I get it, its tempting to give your opinion on an open forum but try to take other peoples feelings into consideration.  Kindness goes a long way.

With that said I am going to bow out of this thread and let the mods police.  They have their hands full with all the negativity and judgment that is being thrown around.

Oh man, I should never have read this thread. I REALLY want one now! I don’t wear my ring when I’m just at home, so I think I can justify it 😊

The Mrs. boxes are so pretty but I fell in love with some of the jewelry trays that Bees have shared since I needed something to hold more than just my wedding set. I went on a hunt for a beautiful something wonderful to hold my rings after one of those threads. One of the bees- Mrs. BeusleBee, I think- has a tarot card dish that I became instantly obsessed with finding (but made from my favorite tarot card). I never found it but I definitely enjoyed the journey.

I agree that they are ridiculously expensive. I never would’ve bought one for myself because I’m pretty frugal, but once my fiancée heard that I liked them there was no stopping her. She bought this one for me and I’m not going to lie, I love it lol
