    @funlovingbridetobe:  I can’t vote because you skipped a big one….. .50  I think it’s a fairly common center stone size

    @funlovingbridetobe:  This isn’t a good way to measure it. A sapphire carat weight is completely different than a diamond carat weight. Same thing with all gemstones. Like a 1.31 sapphire is around a 1 carat diamond in size.

    The numbers also fluctuate if you specify a certain stone (diamond vs Moissy vs white topaz vs sapphires etc etc)

    @funlovingbridetobe:  Mine’s a cluster, so, my 7 centre stones are a teeny 0.07ct each lol; so, I didn’t vote.

    I think it’s very hard to determine an average from a poll like this as there are so many variables inc the type of stone (diamond/gemstone/moissy/etc), and also the state/country/socio-economic status of the respondents.

    For example, most rings I see where I live in the UK are around the 0.3-0.4ct mark; in other parts of the UK, larger stones would be more common, but on average, most people have smaller stones and rings, for various reasons. Then in some states in the US, a 1-1.5ct might be considered ‘small’. So it’s hard to get an accurate idea.

    Mines 1.09 carats although the setting makes it look much larger!

    @funlovingbridetobe:  my sapphire is 1.31 carats, but it faces up like a 1.2-ish diamond.
