The price of everything we’re registered for comes to a total of $1,342.87. That seems a little over the top to me, even though we’re not registered for anywhere NEAR the amount of gifts that the registry recommended (2 for each guest). We don’t even need most of the stuff that a lot of younger couples need! So how much is the total on your registries?

I don’t really know how to find this out on my own, like on my registry. When we were at BB&B, they told us we were over 3k though…mostly because all the fine china and fancy glassware and flatware.
We also registered at C&B and Amazon and we have some expensive stuff on them (all stuff we want and hope to do the completion deals to buy ourselves after wedding).
Sounds like $1,300 isn’t that much…At BB&B, the person helping us said that people usually spend an average of $75-125 per gift and then you figure close relatives spend double that. It depends on your guest list, but I would add more if I were you! That or hopefully guests will give you money and not some unusual ceramic statue you don’t want…

@blushpinkbride: that sounds like a low number to me…. We have $4000 since there are 250 guests for the wedding and 100 for the bridal shower!

@Skittles131: I just added up the cost on my online registry pages 🙂
@lynnielou33193: We are having 70 guests and no shower, so maybe my registry is okay…

@blushpinkbride: Ya that seems reasonable! I wouldn’t delete anything though. Hopefully you get everything you want.

@blushpinkbride: That sounds really low to me too, I know my Macy’s registry is over $5k. But a lot of that is nicer kitchen stuff and Waterford crystal, which adds up fast.

We didn’t register for alot of “stuff”, probably $700 on our actual gift registry.. which I made more for the bridal shower than anything.
We also have a honeymoon registry, total is like $4000, but we added alot of “activities” & “experiances”, we aren’t expecting to get all of them. Just needed to add things that would be appealing to differant guests.

@blushpinkbride: $3500. But that’s the regular cost of each item, and a good 75% of our registry seems to be continuously on sale. The registry person said we didn’t have nearly enough but honestly, we really only need so many towels. 😉
ETA: If it weren’t for the towels we needed to replace and the dishes we wanted to pick out together (we each have own our household stuff), then we would probably be around $1500.

I think ours was about 1500? But a LOT of it was in our $600 cookware set and the $400 roomba we registered for!
We had 42 guests. (And only 3 gave physical gifts! The rest gave gift cards or checks)

I’ve inherited two complete sets of heirloom china, FI’s family gave us family silver, we already have a Dyson vacuum, a Kitchenaid stand mixer, Keurig coffee maker, and Riedel crystal. I can’t think of any other big-ticket items that we could possibly use.
What we really want to do is either remodel our kitchen or sell our home and move into a nicer one. Maybe I should delete our registries and just hope that people give cash?
Ugh, I don’t know. The whole thing is so awkward.

@blushpinkbride: This is a rough estimate with a 60 guest wedding
$1892 Honeymoon registry – fullfilled
$2600 BB&B registry – all fulfilled except the $515 Dyson
$2000 Mackenzie-Childs- Maybe 1/3 fulfilled?

That sounds low. My grandma had me register for more bc she said their wasn’t enough stuff on there lol

Mine is about 4100. I just added up everything. We are having over 150 people to the wedding & I’m having a bridal shower. Some of the expensive stuff we got already though for our engagement.
