Does anyone know what this might be?
I have this incredible pain/pressure right above (about an inch above) my pubic hair line. It goes all the way accross and just hurts! I feel it when I sit or lean forward, but it is HORRIBLE when I walk. I am sort of hunched over from it.
I don’t think I am constipated. And I would think this is too painful for it to be the normal late pregnancy pressure? Plus maybe even a little early for that. It just started today.

it could be your pelvis. You secrete a hormone during pregnancy that loosens the ligaments in the pelvic area to prepare for birth. It could likely be exacerbated by the weight of the baby on your lower body.

I posted something about a similar pain last week. That same area is sore when I get up and start walking, and when I roll over in bed at night, or try to lift my legs. Not sure if it’s the same for you, but it’s Pelvic Girdle Pain. All of the ladies that answered the thread were having the same problem. Then I asked my midwife at an appt and she verified that the hive was correct. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelvic_girdle_pain

I agree with mwitter80…I get the same thing occasionally when I got to stand or roll over. It’s not fun. = (

What she said! @mwitter80:
I hate PGP, but seems to be one of the many joys of pregnancy we need to deal with!

I agree with PPs that its most likely pelvic pain. I remember being awakened in the middle of the night with it when I was carrying my son.

@mwitter80: Ditto here too.
I’ve been having it for several weeks now too. It’s from the relaxin opening up the joints and ligaments in your pelvis. That plus the weight of the b aby is what causes the pain. My doctor recommended getting a maternity support band to help.
I get it too and have been for several weeks now. Definitely not fun. I found that taking a bath or laying down on my side helps it subside a bit.
