@sailor: Ugh! Not only does it look uncomfortable but it is creepy. Have you ever seen Pet Semetary? She looks like the sister Zelda (the most terrifying part of the movie)
@assilem: Ahhh! I agree about Pet Cemetary- when the sister runs towards the main character saying "Rachel" over and over again all creepy.... ugh it literally gave me nightmares as a kid. So you can guess what my name is lol...
THIS IS MY DRESS.... I saw this picture in a magazine and KNEW it had to be mine. My mom's reaction was " how in the heck do you know what it looks like when she is standing like she has period cramps ".... it was true! Stand up straight would you??? 
@assilem: Yuck, it does! That movie terrified me... but not as much as the book. LOL. I can't read Stephen King if I plan to sleep alone.... Not to threadjack :) Carry on!

They are hilarious. They all look like someone is poking them in the side or something in order to be standing like that.
I just think it's odd- Cuz no bride as far as I know would ever look at the dresses and be like 'ooo I will look great saying my vows in THAT pose'
Ok I just found one and this model looks like she's 7 feet tall, like holy moly!

The model of my dress is just awkward. I hate showing it to people on the model. She looks like she is having severe back pains.

In my head when I see shots like these I always imagine the photographer calling out inspiration...
"Okay, now give me constipated! Good, good...how about arthritic? Fantastic! Now try Miss Havisham after she got jilted! Oooh, love that hatred, keep it coming. Now you're a waif, frightened and alone on the streets of Manhattan. A stranger is trying to give you candy and you recoil...perfect! Mannequin hands, I want to see some mannequin hands. @dani0885: where's that 2nd one from (the 3rd photo overall where it looks like the model's barfing on a wooden wall)? it actually looks kinda like my dress... lol
Bahahahaha, I'll need to show my FI this thread when I get home. He's constantly making fun of the models in my magazines because they're all hunched over. He says, "That's so unattractive. Honey, I love you, but I'm not sure I'll marry you if you look like that in your dress."
I think sometimes the bridesmaids photos are awful too.
This one the pose isn't so bad, but the facial expression is so severe and the slit with the uber long heels. It says dominatrix rather than bridesmaid.
And this one, the dresses are nice, but the huge hair, excessively bright lipstick and over accessorized style makes me think 80's or streetwalker.
