I'm also have added Uptown Girl, and Pretty Woman to my list of possibilities....
We had our party and us walk in to Michael Franti-- Say Hey-- it was so upbeat and fun- the words are really cute too. It really set the happy mood for the night
Our BP entrance is "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness.
I went to this awesome wedding where the bridal party music was quite different
The bridal party came up and burnt music according to the grooms party since the entire wedding was focused on his future wife, so they incorportated his idea of allowing his groomsmen to pick their son they wanted to be announced with in this grooms party there were 6 of them so each of the guys came out their song played for 30 seconds or less however it was interesting .
The cd was burnt with music lasting no more than 30 second or more and it shifted to another song to introduce the next bridal party set until at the end the bride and groom were announced.
I'm not sure if this is the song that would *announce* people..that might be another song....the DJ list says that the song is danced to by the bridal party and half way through the crowd/guests will be asked to join in. However, I have a 14 yr old bridesmaid, her 11 yr old Jr Groomsmen, 2 other bridesmaids, and my fiance's brother as Best Man. It will just be awkward if it's a slow song because it's uneven so people wouldn't have someone to dance to. I am thinking of possibly having my bridal party dancing with their SOs.......or having them join. Because they all have a SO except the 14 and 11 sibilngs
Our Bridal Party is coming in to "Appalachian Roundup". It's such a fun song. We're using the arrangement by Celtic Thunder. My fiance is Irish, I am Puerto Rican and it was actually my idea! I just have visions of the bridal party entering the reception upbeat and happy and all of the guests clapping and smiling!
Hey starry... I had this same problem with an uneven bridal party and in the end we decided that we will not do the bridal party dance. My FI and I will dance alone to our first dance and then we will just go straight to the toasts.
Although.... I like the idea of pretty woman or life is a highway... those both seem like fun, upbeat songs that everyone could dance to!

I am looking for something more upbeat/faster, not slow....as our bridal party is uneven(unless we ask their SO to join in dancing)...
The DJ is supposed to ask the crowd to join in halfway through the song.
I am googling suggestion lists.
So far I have found Celebration and Life is a Highway.
What are you going to use??
Thanks!
