We didn't have a budget per say, we spent about $10k for 30 some guests.  Our photographer was almost half of that though.

We started with $45k for 200 people and now we are at $60k with 250 people. This doesn't include the honeymoon or rings. I think I have been in shock during the entire process as to how much things really cost. Thank god for my parents who are helping us pay for this wedding.

We are having a low budget wedding :(

Our budget is $5k but if we can go any lower that would be great. My fiance and I are paying for like 75% of the wedding. We are however planning on having like 100-250 guest Idk how we are going to do it. We are keeping everything local and my family is helping a little with dj, food, invitiations. We paid the hall ourselves and we asked my cousin who has a car club to let us borrow some vintage cars.

Our budget was orginally 12k fro 200 guests but we'll never make it without going over.  We are paying for the whole thing ourselves so we'll prolly start saving more per week and see where it gets us.  We're each saving $50/week now.  We will most likely double that sometime soon.

I started at 10K for 100 people and now I'm at 15K for 150 people. Luckily, some of our parents are helping out so we're only going to spend about 6K.

Our budget is $30k for about 200 but we are already going over with just the big things like venue, caterer, dress/veil, florist and then added in the other costs. Weddings were a lot more than I expected, especially if you want a nice one for a lot of people in the city. I also thought that the vendors would be a lot less expensive and open to negotiations in this economy but the only luck was the florist. My champagne wedding on a beer budget is really being streched! So blessed parents are paying!

i'm hoping have $15k saved up for about 200 people without parental contribution. if they want to gift us money we'll accept but we're not asking them for help.

We started with $13k for 200 guests, but we're now at $15k for 250 and the amount keeps going up.  This is without the dress and honeymoon.  So total, will most likely be $20k once everything is accounted for, hopefully we come under that.

    I blew the budget    7-19-10

hahaha - my name tells it all. Our budget was set at 15k for 200 people which meant I've had to be very creative and do lots and lots of DIY and think outside the box. I'm now over by about 3k and we're still 9 months from the wedding day.

My parents have been hinting lately that they have some savings if we need it but they are close to retirement age and wouldn't think of taking anything from them. FI's parents are no way in a position to contribute anything (and that's fine).

I have saved us a lot of money here and there. I'm hoping our final cost will stay under 20k - not gonna say it'll happen but I'm hoping.

We're having a small wedding and right now, we're at $22k w/o honeymoon or rings but that includes a $9k rental for the week which is more of a family vacation than just the wedding but we'd never rent a beach house for so much $$$ if we weren't getting married there.

Our budget will be about 5-8K...but we will get the reception hall for free, church for free, music for free, my grandparents will be paying for my wedding dress and possibly reception...So, we are just paying for the rehersal dinner, his tux, son's tux, decorations, and honeymoon....!

$16,000 for 60. parents are contributing $8,000 each. most of the money is going towards food and alcohol. we're having an out-of-towners' dinner the night before the wedding and most of our guests are out of towners.

Our budget is $5k.  We're having a small ceremony (about 30 people) and then a cocktail reception for 80 people.  Needless to say, I'm doing a ton of DIY.  If you're not too worried about your flowers you can save a lot there.  I'm doing parasols instead of bouquets for the bridal party and then for centerpieces I'm buying bulk flowers at Costco and having some friends help me with simple arrangements.  Saved thousands :)

I think we are trying for under $5k for about 170 guests.  FMIL is paying for the catering so that will help.

I'm aiming for roughly 7.5K for about 150 guests, honeymoon not included (I only have a rough idea of that cost, but I'd like to splurge on a two week trip to Ireland). Our parents aren't in any position to help us financially, so we'll probably be paying for everything from our own pockets.

Ours was $55k for 220 guests (invited 320 though!)  We saved money by people not being able to come and cutting back on other things too.  I ended up coming in right around $50k (not including honeymoon or rings)

We are spending around $6,000 for 200 guests.  It has been pretty easy so far.  We live in a fairly small area which helps with the budget.  FI's parents paid the ceremony rental ($650) and my mom bought my dress ($1,200) so we are pretty good.  They are also paying alcohol, which DEFINITELY helps.

Our budget is 5k for 250 guests. We have been proactive about asking our friends with talents to give that to us as our gift. For instance, we have gotten our photography, cake, videography, and a condo for our honeymoon all as gifts! My parents purchased my dress. Other than that, we are printing our invites ourselves. It looks like we are going to stay close to budget!

Our budget started out at 5K, if we could get away with it for 50 people. I have now pushed it out to 7K. I am still hoping for closer to 5K, but we want to splurge a little. I am doing a ton of DIY, and that is helping, but there are just some things that will push it above our original budget. I am meeting with the planner on Friday to see where we are at, so we shall see.

Our budget is $10k for 190 people (rings included). Though that's not including the honeymoon. We are registering online with a honeymoon registry rather than for home goods since we already have a bunch of stuff...so hopefully that will cover the entire cost of the honeymoon! Right now I am slightly doubtful we'll make it but if kb112022 can do it, then so can I!

Ours is 8K for the reception site, catering, invitations and photography for about 150 people (what my FI and I are paying for). Flowers, DJ, drinks, favors, and cake will tentatively be contributed by family. (Both of our parents are divorced so they are spread out). I also paid for my dress and I will pay for alterations and our wedding rings. My FI is going to plan a little trip to the beach for a few days after (that's where we got engaged). Our groom's tux rental is free. I'm sure there will end up being some extra little things like decorations, unity candle, accessories, but we're trying to be pretty frugal and not spend any more than we can afford.

I had no idea how expensive these things were!  My parents have always told me not to worry about it, and that they would take care of it.  Honestly though, I'd rather have a small budget $5k wedding and let them take care of the down payment on our first house.  And considering that I'm not sure if I know 100 people, that might just be feasible.

And if push comes to shove, maybe my SO will get his dream come true of having a pot luck wedding!  hehe.  Only kidding....sort of.

Originally was 12K for about 150 (inviting 180) and that was what my parents were giving. We have decided to pay out of pocket to make the budget 20K not including honeymoon/rings and we are hoping to keep it right around 18K for 115 (inviting 150). I got my dream location out of it though! :) Not too bad for my dream wedding considering downtown Charleston can be pricey. Well in my terms of pricey because I sure as heck can't compete with those 55K, 60K budgets! Lucky girls! ;)

It's amazing how prices can vary between large cities and more rural areas.  I thought Chicago was bad - but I think it would be even more expensive in LA or NYC!
