same hair do- and switch the gloss for chapstick lol. i can't wait till my post wedding chop to have short stylable hair!
Hair: Joico shampoo, joico mouse, blowdry without a care in the world (upside down, no brush)
Makeup: cosmedix face wash. phytomer moisteriser and vitamin C. Loreal foundation, Givency concealer/highligher, NARS bronzer, Loreal blush, clinique eye shadows (bown) , eyeliner, mascara. Literally takes me 10 minutes
On wedding day, took 30 minutes total with a Sephora artist. She was the bomb!
I am also totally lazy on work days!! Usually I wear my hair in a bun where it dries naturally. Face is a little bit of mac concealer for the volcanoes, bare minerals, curl the lashes, coat with full n soft mascara and a little bit of eyeshadow, either sugar brand, estee lauder, or hard candy! I usually do a sparkly brown or gray on the eyes. I love lip gloss...If I have time I swirl some blush on the cheeks since I'm so pale!
When I have time to primp I love getting all decked out. Like tomorrow I'm going dress shopping and want to make sure my make up and hair is flawless! Definitely hair down and curly, might even do a half up do, and a pretty pinky blush.
I'm not sure how long it will all take on the big day, since I want my hair and makeup done by pros!
I am just like you!
My hair is curly but it takes 20 min to diffuse it so it is not a frizzy disaster or 20 min to straighten it - so most days I just put it in a pony-tail while wet!
My make-up I wear foundation, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara and chapstick (i concentrate on my eyes because I am blonde, blue-eyed and fair and my eyes disappear without make-up) takes me about 5 min!
wow--I wish my routine was this easy and quick!
I blow dry my hair in layers for body with Big and Sexy spray mousse which takes a little over 10 minutes (I have really thick hair even though it's kind of short.
For makeup after moisturizer I usually touch up blemishes with stila concealer, then powder with bare escentuals, two shades of shadow, eyeliner, bronzer, blush, and mascara. (I shift brands for those products)
I don't think I look overly madeup, but don't feel very professional looking without.
My morning routine, besides the shower takes about 25 minutes.
I work in a lab. So there is no need for anything fancy. I air dry my hair, keep a rubber band on my wrist (in case I need to put my hair up), and no make-up (Unless you count mosturizer with SPF 15 and chapstick).
I wish my routine was that short!! Just thinking about it makes me tired!!
All together it takes me one hour to shower, do my hair, makeup and get dressed. I have it down to a science! Here it is:
Apply "Bed Head: After Party". Blow dry my hair with round brush. Set top sections in large velcro rollers for volume while my hair "cools".
Apply clinique concealer under eyes, MAC brush on eyeliner, Clinique liquid eyeshadow, Mac eyeshadow, curl lashes, apply Loreal Voluminous mascara (best.mascara.ever), finish with a light dusting of MAC mineral foundation.
Flat iron hair in sections with small comb. Lightly spray with Redken medium hold hair spray just to keep cow-lick under control :)
And presto! I look presentable
I feel that I need o file a truth addendum that makeup, plus hair, plus shower = 45 mins, minimum. : )
I clocked in waaaay too many makeup application/hair styling hours in high school! Now that I'm in college and have already nabbed my man all I generally do is blow dry my hair (after using Jason aloe vera conditioner!!! I'm a huge shampoo junkie and I absolutely love love love the Jason line! Anyway...) Luckily I have pretty decent hair that is wavy and has volume so I generally leave it down w/o product. Now that I'm a *little* bit older I have started to wear actual lipstick once in a while (whatever my mom got in her Clinique or Lancome present and decided to give to me) with a quick application of clinique mascara. And of course I wear SPF lotion!
Haha. I am the queen of laziness. I only shower every other day. When I do wash my hair, I just let it dry naturally. Maybe I will put some product in it while it's wet. For make-up, I use mineral make-up. I usually just do foundation, blush, and lip gloss. Mascara if I'm wearing contacts. And this is my work routine! It was even worse when I was still in school!
My hair usually gets dried and is down or thrown in a snot-knot wet ...
Makeup? A little concealer, foundation, mascara, and blush. Oh, and occasionally eyeliner.
I just can't fuss with it all. I'm value my sleep too much in the morning (hence why I sometimes throw the hair, sopping wet, in a snot knot).
On days I don't have to really see people: moisturizer, eye concealer, and mascara pretty much.
All other days: Laura Mercier primer and tinted moisturizer, eye concealer and finishing powder. Then probably MAC or Bare Minerals eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and a little blush...and lip gloss
I always use serum on my hair (its curly and thick). Something like John Frieda Frizz Ease. And then I like using "short sexy hair texturizing creme" (even though my hair isnt'short...it just smells good). Either put it up in a ponytail, or if I wanna put in effort, I straighten my hair
Hair: I shower and blowdry every morning. Blowdry with a round brush, no product or anything.
Makeup: Never leave the house without it! I use Bare Escentuals Matte foundation, BE blush and eye shadow. Eyeliner, powder, mascara. It sounds like a lot, but it takes me under 10 minutes.
My routine takes 30 minutes. It seems like a lot, but I can fly through it.
Hair: Blowdry, flat iron, product (I switch up my products, but right now I'm using bumble and bumble sumotech)
Makeup: Neutrogena SPF40 sunscreen/moisturizer (I'm super fair), MAC concealer and studio fix, some neutral-ish eyeshadow, blush, eyeliner, mascara, usually Kiehl's lip balm or some MAC lip glass (almost always a neutral gloss type thing).
And I'm done!
Well I have a short hairstyle so I towel dry it throw a little gel on it run my hands through it to mess it up make it stick up then it is off to the makeup (this takes about 2 mins)
Makeup takes me about 15 mins for everyday look
Moisturizer- I love Oil of Olay Complete Combo skin moisturzer
I usually let that soak in while i brush my teeth get dressed and such
FOUNDATION powder etc- Bare Minerals 3 piece kit... once you get hang of it it takes only a min or two to apply
EYELINER i use a soft brown eyeliner pencil and smudge it then a little white liner on the inside lower corner I think they are both by Maybelline
SHADOW I apply a off white eyeshadow to the brow bown then i apply a light brown color from my lashes to just below the brown bown... then i follow up with a medium brown in the crease and outer corner... then i use a very dark brown with a liner brush to set my liner and line only the outer bottom corner of my eyes and then i give the bottom a smudge all of my shadows are Mark Brand from Avon (love them it doesnt smudge or crease up )
LASHES: I curl my lashes and give them two coats of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in very black... (pink tube) ALL TIME FAVORITE MASCARA FOR YEARS
When i am really going out or something specia or have more time...l I have some Pure Mineral Pigment makeup that i use its crushed pigments that can be used for anything from eye shadow lipstick to nail polish
I dont wear anything on my lips but chapstick FH hates lipstick because it gets all over him lol
Then i got back to my hair and give it some spray Kenra 25 best hairspray every and pull it all in place and im out the door
I keep my hair short so it fits underneath my bicycle helmet. I ride quite a few times a week. At 34 years old, I don't wear any makeup. Just a little moisturizer with spf. I think it takes me about 15 minutes to get up, shower, put in contacts and get out the door.
No makeup and my hair is soooo straight...I got to bed with it wet and wake up with it ready to go. People in college used to think I spent hours with a straightener and couldn't believe I just wake up like that. I can't stand the feel of product so I'm glad I don't need any :)
From shower to door its an hr.
Hair - wash and condition with Bumble & Bumble. Use Paul Mitchell Mouse. Blow dry and then flat iron (15 minish)
Skin Care - Clinique 3 Steps than use the Daily Defense SPF 25
Make Up
I'm a Clinique Girl so... everything is Clinique. Clarifying Powder, concealer, liquid eyeshadow, poweder eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, mascara and lipgloss.
On the average day, I'm pretty low key. I wash and style my hair at night (I shower at night after my workouts), putting in my fave Kerretasse volumizing mousse before I blow dry. In the morning I usually just style a little, maybe adding a little more product. I have to be honest, I'm in dire need of a trim, so I've been rocking the pony tail more than I'd like to admit right now. ;)
I'm the queen of moisturizer and I always make sure to start and end each day with moisturizer and eye cream. I use two different creams for day and night because I have to have SPF for day. As far as makeup, I usually do my own variation on Carmindy's Five Minute Face: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, concealer, a little powder, highlighter, some champagne or peach eye shadow, brown eyeliner, mascara (or lately I've been using this Lash Tint), a little blush and some lip gloss.
Although, in the interest of full disclosure, I had to wake up an hour earlier than usual this morning and my routine consisted of this:
Great thread!
Late for Class Hair & Makeup: SPF lotion, dries while I brush teeth. Concealer if needed, hair in ponytail, go. (5 minutes total)
Everyday Hair: I have long curly hair, so put serum or mousse (depending on outdoor humidity) when it's still wet, let it air dry while I dress/get ready.
Everyday Makeup: Concealer under eyes and on any zits or uneven areas, followed by light dusting of mineral powder all over my face. Curl eyelashes, put on Burt's Bees peppermint lip balm. Wipe powder out of my eyebrows because they're dark brown (!). (10 minutes total hair & makeup)
Date Makeup: Use liquid foundation. Use concealer on zits/under eyes. Set w/powder. Curl lashes, apply lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara. Blush and eyeshadow if I have time. (15 minutes total, more if I style my hair fancy-curly (like set each ringlet), and even more if I style it straight)
But I like my showers! I'll take 20-30 minutes just to shower.
Oops, wedding day addendum: I'm giving myself 2 hours for hair and makeup!

How much time/effort do you put into your hair & makeup each day?
I am sooooo lazy when it comes to this!
Hair: No product -- it goes in a ponytail while wet and dries naturally almost every day
Makeup: Physician's Fomula Mineral Powder, a light dusting of champagne colored eyeshadow, some brown eyeliner (inside the eyelides), a little mascara, a touch of blush and plumping lip gloss. It takes me about 2 minutes to put it all on and I usually do it in the car after I've parked wherever it is I'm going.
How about you?
And how much time do you anticipate (or did) your hair / makup taking on your wedding day?
