I found this graphic the other day, and it really got me thinking. There is an easy formula to discover your dream job: Find something that your good at, that you like to do, for which there is a demand. Et voila! Your dream job!
My dream job is to start an Etsy shop that features beautiful stationery. It would be also nice if this shop was vastly successful so that I could retire from my current job and live the rest of my life with inky fingers. In fact, that’s what I’d name the shop: Inky Fingers.
What is your dream job?

PS not sure why this ended up in "flowers"…probably should be in the beehive or something…sorry! 🙂

I think you should give it a try! 🙂 What is stopping you from starting that store right now? All the vendors on Etsy started somewhere, with one small idea. You never know until you try!

Very cute! I’m one of those people who’s dream job is more important for the salary side than what I "love" to do. Thankfully, I’m good at engineering and it pays nicely. I don’t LOVE it, but I can do it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and the financial independence is really nice because I like a certain lifestyle and would like to maintain it Seriously, how many jobs give you flex time? So i look at all the goodies that my job comes with, not just "what do i do for the 8 hours i’m there". Part of me likes it, so it’s not like i hate my job either. While i love crafty things, I also know that I get tapped out after a certain point. I think in 10 years i’ll best be suited for management. I’ve always wanted to make skin care products, though.
You should totally open up your own Etsy site! At the very least get your shop name registered.

Now that I’m planning my wedding, I think wedding planner would be my dream job although I don’t like confrontation or talking on the phone.
A job where I can travel around the world would be my dream job.

Jennybyrd, we’re a lot alike! My dream job is to have a small but successful business creating hand-crafted stationery, cards, and gifts for any occasion (but especially weddings!). I’m calling my business "Scraps of Life" (thus my username :D). I plan on starting with an Etsy shop, just like you! The other part of my dream job is to be a stay at home mom and just be there for my family. Thankfully my hubby is already helping me out with my dream. He lets me stay at home and focus on starting my business. So I’m a happy, scrapping, housewife 😀
I’ve thought of going into wedding planning, too. Still thinking on that one…hmmm…
Seriously love Inky Fingers though! I’ll keep my eye out for your Etsy shop!

My dream job?
Anything that would involve working from home, having flexible hours and being able to do what and when I want – In a perfect world right?
Sigh – I am one of those people who have no idea what I WANT to do, or what I would LOVE to do. I really am at a loss and get pretty freaked out about it when I think too much into it! kind of a lost soul….doing mindless office work instead…

I think if and when Inky Fingers got up and running it would be at least a year or two from now. Probably after we got married so that I could give clients my full atttention. 🙂 I’m a greedy bride like that. But I may go ahead and follow your advice to register the name with Etsy! 🙂

I love my job now, if it were only moving faster. I’d love to produce a website/magazine dedicated to women skiers. That’d be killer.
