I appreciate and love music from many decades, but for me the ’80s reigns supreme. It helps that I was a kid throughout the ’80s and it therefore brings back a lot of memories, but I love the energy it has, the fact that it is associated with early MTV, and the decadence. If it’s got a synthesizer and four-on-the-floor drum beat, I’m in.
What about you?

Definitely the 90s. It’s my go-to music when there’s nothing else to listen to. I was born in ’83 but 90s music takes me back to my youth…particularly 5th grade through high school.

90’s! I love the moody chick music of that time, like Alanis Morresette, & Natalie Imbruglia, The Cranberries, & Tracy Chapman. I also love the soulful grunge rock of that time, like Goo Goo Dolls, & The Verve Pipe & the like… Takes me to a innocent place of my early childhood..

I’m a pretty big fan of turn of the century music! Like ’95-’05!
I was also obsessed with 80s music for a while. And I desperately love 90% of 50s music!

The 1990’s! Specifically, grunge rock/modern rock. I have an unhealthy obsession with collecting Smashing Pumpkins and Garbage stuff from that time period.

@thatredheadedbride: Me too!
Because of my age everyone assumes I like classic rock the best. Oh I love Pink Floyd and the like, and I really loved the dance-y music of the 80s, but 90s grunge and alternative are my absolute favs!

@trueblue14: Rock on! m/ Grunge rock needs to make a comeback!
I also have a love of dancey 80’s music – I sneak it in on my rides to work. Although my favorite 80’s song is ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ 😉

Hard to decide between 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.

@leenh78: You would probably enjoy listening to Chromeo then! 🙂
It’s hard for me to pick; it would be between 1940s to 1960s. But then, I much prefer instrumental music. I’m born mid 80s; the song that became a hit single on my birthday was Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, lol.

The 90s, for sure. It encompasses boy bands, amazing rap AND the best alternative.

The 90’s! Ahhh Weezer, Collective Soul, Nirvana, En Vogue, the Rent Soundtrack and of course… Dave Matthews Band. Such great memories

I am OBSESSED with 80s music! I had a radio show in college where I played nothing but 80s music 🙂 60s are a close second, followed by the 90s.
