I love satin. The smooth and structured feel and look of it. It is a very rich looking fabric.
My dress is organza, silk, and satin, and I love all three. But if I had to pick one it would be organza. I love the frothy look of it.
I love the whimsical appeal of organza - and it's what I ended up choosing.
My favorite is silky satin, but I don't see it up there, unless it has a fancier name?
I wanted a silky satin dress so bad- one made it into my top 2. But I ended up going with satin, I decided I liked the dress better overall.
My dress is french tulle, its soft and flowy but has some body to it, love it.

I also really liked tulle dresses and almost ordered this one:

I didn't like chiffon as its usually used for BM dresses and I disliked the weight of satin gowns. I never found a lace dress I really liked however I've seen some WB that are just gorgeous.
taffeta, i liked how it felt, dont know how to describe it other than i felt like i was really wearing a wedding dress!
I love organza. My dress had a light, airy, and comfortable quality to it. For me, satin made me feel too shiny and heavy. In organza, I felt like a beautiful bride.

Dotted Swiss!! I was absolutely obsessed with finding a dress with dotted swiss, but I had no luck. I wanted the Christos Maribel SO BAD, but couldn't afford it in a million years.
I also really like chiffon and English net.
i have a taffeta gown, so naturally i voted for silk charmeuse. lol. satin in general is my favorite, and the way silk charmeuse drapes just makes me swoon...it IS a specific type of satin, after all. if i could have found the gown i wanted in silk charmeuse, i would have been all over that like breakfast on DS's face, lol. as it is, i do LIKE taffeta (nice and crisp and shimmery and rustles a little when you walk!), even if it isn't my favorite, and the dress is damn near perfect otherwise
I voted taffeta, which is funny because going into dress shopping I didn't think I liked it, I was all set on satin. Come to try on dresses though, satin dresses were just way too heavy, I loved the taffeta could stiff hold structure while being light! And i like the soft rustle taffeta makes, it's fun!
silk tulle. it's light and airy and frothy. Makes me feel so feminine.
My faves are godavari silk (my dress), taffetta (love the softness of it) and lace
I really love all the silks, organza, and tulle. My own dress is 100% dupioni silk (which I had never heard of before putting it on but now I love love love it!)
Lace!
Brings elegance and demure charm to modern sexy shapes.
In general, lace. My dress was silk tricotine and I really wouldn't have had any other. It's just shiny enough, weighty, slinky, hugged my body. I loved it.
I thought I loved the look of lace the most, but my dress is mostly Dupioni Silk and I just remember loving the feel of it the first time I tried it on.

Bored and this thought popped into my mind - so what is your favorite fabric for wedding gowns? What characteristic of it do you like? I love tulle - it is light and frothy and fun and airy and moves
