Halloween! I hate that we only get one day a year to dress as anything we want! :P
But I also love Thanksgiving for the food, and Christmas because it's so drawn out.
I would say my favorite day of the year is Christmas eve. I'm always home from school/work by then, we usually spend all day baking cookies and making food for Christmas, and wrapping gifts. Everything is decorated and all the gifts are under the tree, and we end the night with the Christmas Eve Midnight service at church (which actually starts at 11pm so that we ring in Christmas while singing the last hymn by candlelight).
I think I like this better than actual Christmas day because it is just my immediate family and we're all just happy and hanging out. There is no stress, no travel, no pressure. Also-- you have the anticipation of Christmas tomorrow. Christmas day is always a little sad for me because I LOVE Christmas season (more than the day itself) and its sad that it is over!
My first favorite is Christmas Eve/Day. Christmas Eve is always so wonderful because we spend it with family, bake, drink hot cocoa and watch Christmas movies. Christmas Day is just so peaceful. On those rare Christmas' when you look outside and it's white with snow falling, it's just so perfect for me. I love giving presents and watching people open them, and I love eating a nice meal with my family.
Thanksgiving is a close second because my husband and I usually spend it at home together, just the two of us. We cook and just spend quality time together. I love it, but Christmas is always just so much more "magical" I guess? Yes, I'm 26 and Christmas is still magical to me :)
Halloween! It just has so much spirit and personality. I love dressing up and seeing what other people came up with.
2nd place goes to 4th of July. I love fireworks.
Oh I love Christmas Eve! We always go to church, have lasagna for dinner, open one present and just hang out around the tree and fireplace, enjoying the ambiance and eachother. It's really, really nice and since I don't get to make it home as often as I like, it's comforting. Just seeing Christmas decorations makes me cry...
The 4th of July! We almost always spend it at the lake having fun on and behind the boat, and eating yummy food and enjoying the sunshine!
