My favorite horror movie(s) are classics: Rosemary’s Baby & The Exorcist.

There aren’t too many movies that actually scare me.  I was younger when the Blair Witch came out and I remember driving home and had to drive through this area that was all woods without any houses or buildings.  I remember locking the doors and speeding through that area even though I knew the movie wasn’t real.

I don’t watch many, but The Ring was the first one I ever saw and it really scared me… but in a good horror movie way haha.  I have to walk past a TV if I get up to go to the bathroom at night, so I didn’t get up in the middle of the night for a LONG time after I watched that.

Has anyone ever seen Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds?  I watched it thinking it was going to be stupid, and it’s not the scariest movie, but it does kind of mess with your mind a little.  It’s weird but also really interesting.

I get scared really easily, so I don’t love a lot of *really* scary movies.  That being said, I think Silence of the Lambs is brilliant and I love the Scream series.  🙂

@Ms Sassy: Oh when Signs came out, I was driving past cornfields and freaking out (plus it was filmed not too far for where I lived).

@piglet_625: Alfred Hitchcock messes with your mind a lot.  I remember liking Rear Window when I was a kid, haven’t seen it in a long time though.

@bryanneb61: I love Silence of the Lambs too!  Anthony Hopkins is awesome in that!

I love the horror movies from the 80’s, and my favs are Halloween (I&II, after that they get pretty weird) and Nightmare on Elm Street.  But I love me some zombie movies also: Dawn of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead and 28 Days/Months Later are all great also.

I’m not really a horror fan since I don’t care that much for gore. I’d rather watch an entertaining psychological thriller. That said, my favorite horror movie is probably Dracula 2000, although I did also enjoy Hannibal Rising (couldn’t get into the others in the series). The scariest I have seen though is Event Horizon and I don’t wish to see that again.

@MsJ26: IT ruined clowns for me also!

My personal favorite is the original Halloween. Something about that mask and that music….

None! I can’t watch scary/horror movies! I have a very vivid imagination and will have nightmares.
