The last couple of days a bunch of stuff stemming from a breakup I had with one of my best friends earlier this year has been weighing on me hard core. I don’t feel guilty about it and I don’t want her back after everything that happened, it’s more anger than anything. Everytime I think about it, I get so furious. I’m trying very hard to work through it positively and in a way that doesn’t build up and cause a lash out or anything along those lines. I feel that – since I can’t control how I feel – the best thing I can do is to relax and focus on the positive, which got me thinking; what are the best ways to relax? What do you find to be the most relaxing thing to do? What do you enjoy the most? What quiets your mind? How do you handle this sort of thing?
Personally, I could go for a few days at a spa

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!
When I’m feeling stressed, I like to just hole up in the apartment with Fiance and watch tons of tv/movies, eat junk food, and not get out of my pajamas or cook anything at all. It’s kind of ridiculous, but it always makes me feel better!

I’m sorry you are having a bad time. I like to work out to relieve stress, watch TV shows on DVD or movies from Netflix, and making things. I also like doing Sodoku puzzles!

Sitting in a hot bath with music on is my all-time favorite relaxing activity. That and walking the dogs really helps me release stress.
P.S. You’re welcome to come borrow my dogs for the weekend! They keep trying to eat the Christmas tree, and it’s driving me nuts. 🙂

Oh, my favorite is to read a good book and just get lost in the story. I am currently reading Sunday at Tiffany’s by James Patterson. Although I am only a few chapters into it, it’s really good. Books, blankets, laying in bed or lounging on the couch, my favorite!

A hot cup of tea, a good book, and a cozy blanket usually does the trick for me.
