My hubby actually picked this song out while we were dating but he kept it a secret until we were planning. I am thankful he has great taste in music :)
We just changed ours this weekend! It was "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. It's now "Whatever It Is" by Zac Brown Band. Kind of a leap in genre's, but the FI is the music person and he decided he wanted to switch it. I love them both.

I actually caved and so we are doing a coreographed first dance like the FI fell in love with on Youtube.
We have 2 songs, though, that we will be dedicating to eachother: his song to me is "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw. My song to him is "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne.
"Amazed" by Lonestar...it has a whole lot of meaning to the two of us.
If it didn't mean so much, we'd probably dance to "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait.

It's "our song". My fiance and I have been together since I was in high school. We went to my senior prom together. When this song was playing we danced a little then he dropped to one knee and sang it to me in the middle of the dance floor. A circle cleared around us, just like in the movies. It honestly felt like we were the only people in a room full of people. Since that night it's been "our song". It was a no brainer when it came to our first dance. Our unity song (the song played during our handfasting) however is a completely different story- we've been debating for months and months on it.

"Come Away with Me" by Norah Jones. He put it on a mix CD for me and since I really like that song, it just sort of became "ours."
I'm thinking mine will be "True Companion" by Marc Choen. It talks about their relationship's lifespan, including their wedding day. Its beautiful.
We had two songs, one picked by me and one picked by my husband, that our DJ mixed into together into one. My pick was "Nadie como tu", by La Oreja de Van Gogh. His pick was "Umbrella" by Rihanna. For the first dance the music begins with my song in Spanish and then after a minute and a half it blends into the song in English and it continues in English for the next minute and a half. It was fun :)
