Oh I wish... I see us being broke-asses for a long time. My mom offered to fly us home to Cleveland for christmas... lol.
We miiiiight be doing a wine tour/bed and breakfast next month. If not, we're doing our school's homecoming in October, and visiting my sister at her college in November.
Oh yes, buah ha. We were going to go to Jamaica in December but now that i'm having surgery in Nov, we decided to a) see if we could do a last-minute vacay in Dec if i feel well or b) save the money (if it's too much) and go all out for our 1st anniversary somewhere really lovely.
we were married in June while in PNG (so we got our honeymoon)
our trip schedule since the wedding:
july, he went to fiji
august, i had a quickie 4 day trip to kentucky for a friends wedding
september, he went to the philipines
november, we are off to east timor (was planning on doing this next year but brought forward)
december, we're thinking of Guam/Yap/Palau for christmas
march, aussie trip somewhere
June, either the solomans or png again (wedding anniversary)
cant think any further ahead than that
Well, I'm going to Vegas in a couple weeks; my husband doesn't get to travel during the summer because of his work, so he can't go anywhere until Fall. For Thanksgiving we're going to Denver. Next February we're going to San Francisco. We're thinking about going to Vegas with some friends next August (if my husband can somehow get time off!). And we are planning a big trip to Peru next winter. I can't wait!
We're doing a relaxing, beach honeymoon. We've decided that in our first year of marriage (and possibly for our first anniversary) we want to do an active second honeymoon - sightseeing in Italy or Argentina or something fun like that.
We'll be going skiing sometime in the winter for sure - and then hopefully a big 4-5 week backpacking trip early next summer.
We haven't made any plans for our next trip :( Too many kids activities. I'd really like to go skiing in Colorado though if we can find the time/money.
i really really hope we will start planning a europe trip after the wedding! neither of us has been there so we're both really excited. we don't have enough vacation to make that our honeymoon though, so it'll have to wait!
We went to Europe for our honeymoon, so for our next trip we're staying closer to home - we're going to Disneyworld! :)
@realeastcoaster - what part of the east coast are you from? i'm from halifax but living in ottawa (onterrible? lol)
We're planning an anniversary trip to Tahiti - he says 5th but I'd like it to be 3rd :) And we want to save up for a trip to Africa but that will several years! Our first getaway together will probably be a bed-and-breakfast somewhere nearby.

With all the planning that a wedding and a honeymoon entails, has anyone started thinking about their first vacation after getting married? (not counting the honeymoon)
I'm sure that we'll be going through planning withdrawal, so we'll need to come up with another thing to plan.
