I know there's been posts like this before, but I'm just wondering what song people have chosen for their first dance and why. Feel free to share a link to a recording of the song as well.

"I can't help falling in love with you" by Elvis. FH and I chose this song because we love HI and the lyrics:)
"At Last" by Etta Jones, sang by a jazz trio. Its a little cliche, but my FH likes it and he hasn't had too many requests. I thought I could give this one to him, lol! No, its a nice song, and we will have been together 7.5 years by the wedding. Its about time :)
I'm surprised my punk rock fiance is letting me choose this song...but "You and Me" by Dave Matthews.
Ours was "I'd Rather be with You"by Joshua Radin. He's got a great voice and it's a sweet little song!
Shes my everything by Brad Paisley. We were going through songs and he liked this the best...I wanted something that was more about us together and not what I am to him but it's all good because it's his dedication to me :) I am going to do a special request later on in the night and dedicate one to him....just haven't figured out the song yet.....

i let fi pick... since it was important to him and he really doesntcare about too many details... he chose aerosmith 'dont wanna miss a thing'. we both love it so i cant wait!
We did Better Together by Jack Johnson then jumped into The Time Warp!
"Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat then into an EPIC old school hip hop medley (Poison, Now that we found love, Motown Philly, Jump On It)-- bustin' a move!
ps @Stephk23 TOTALLY thought about doing a waltz to this! It's my FAVORITE Disney movie of all time :)

@mrsdoctor: My FH also chose At Last! I know that it's been used a LOT, but I didn't have the heart to tell him that, because he literally spent HOURS looking for a perfect first dance song and this is what he came up with...he has no idea that it's a little cliche, so I think it's sweet.

We're dancing to Michael Buble "Feeling Good" which could be about a break up, but it could be about a new life together and how happy we are to be together. Plus, it's so dramatic and Bond-y.

We are doing Amazed by lonestar....I wish we were more original lol but we both really love that song.
It's a toss up between Lullaby by Dixie Chicks or Heavenly Day by Patty Griffin.
We haven't quite worked it out, there are two songs that mean a lot:
La Vie En Rose (the Louis Armstrong version, not the Edith Piaf, just so our guests will be able to understand the words - although i prefer Edith's!)

Led Zeppelin's "Thankyou" but probably not the Led Zep version - Chris Cornell does it in his live shows, if i can find a decent recording of it, i'd go with Chris
