So much for being able to vote anonymously and not hurt any feelings…but mine isn’t an option, so voted other! Mine would be marquise…while it has grown on me a bit, I still like it least of all cuts. Next would be princess…I like rounder 🙂 RB, oval, cushion 🙂

Marquis! I cut myself on them too many times to count and severly dislike them because of that. They are pretty, though!

I really dislike ovals and cushions.

I would hate to hurt anyone’s feelings, so I will just say that I PREFER ovals, all rounds and cushions. I think I just like things with softer edges. That said, I have seen beautiful rings of all cuts. 🙂

Neither of my choices are on there. Marquise and hearts are my least favorite. It doesn’t mean I hate them by any means, I just like them the least.

Princess cuts got my vote – I prefer rounder, less symmetrical shapes, like oval and marquise cuts. While I don’t exactly dislike them, round brilliants seem a little overhyped; then again, this could just be my lack of experience with diamonds showing.

Where is marquise? That would be my least favorite.

I have to say I’m not usually drawn to heart cuts, but @wrkbrk has an amazing heart bezel RHR that I think is absoulutely stunning. So I guess it all depends on the setting. I used to HATE marquise cuts with a passion, until I saw this:

So I guess there are always exceptions!

Marquise definitely. There is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn’t suit my style at all.

Never was fond of emerald cuts. not bc I hate the cut, but bc typic ally the way they are set looks so angular and not pretty at all to me. I have seen some stunning settings with emerald cuts though.

I also don’t like cushions much. But that might just be bc I see them so mucH lately all in the exact same setting With a halo and pave band.

I don’t think there is any cut I dislike…..Its more like the setting I like or don’t…..I like princess cuts in a kite setting and as a solitaire, but don’t like them in a real complicated setting. I feel the same about marquis. I have a heart shaped diamond, which is one of my favorite cuts, but I don’t like them in a really complicated setting either. Good thing DH got me a solitaire!

I think it really depends. In my mind there have been cuts I dislike, then I see one in a certain setting and I’m like ‘wow, thats gorgeous!!”

@lavenderstone:  see!! There is an example. I really don’t like marquis but THAT is a beautiful ring. I don’t really like heart cuts, but I haven’t see wrkbrks so that might be another that changes my mind!

Least favorite, by far, is the heart shape. Every other shape I can tolerate as long as it’s in a flattering setting.

Heart, for sure. It’s just not my style.
