Donating the floral arrangements to hospitals it nursing homes. I wouldn’t have thought of that ever. I’m excited to give them to the facilities that cared for my grandparents before their passing.

Honestly, to not take strangers’ not so nice comments on the internet to heart.

The bee helped me SOOO much when I was trying to figure out what ring/style I liked, in stores I always felt rushed and I felt like I wasn’t able to say out loud that I HATED a particular style or loved a style since FI was getting the ring on his own and we weren’t purchasing the ring that day from the jeweler.

Several things!

1. Other people are waiting too! Whew, I’m not the only one.

2. China dress shopping. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll buy my dress online or not but at least I know now where to come for advice.

3. One of the Bees came up with a brilliant idea for wedding favors that I fell in love with and I’ve obtained her permission to use it too! Yay! 🙂

4. Ring porn!!! And I love the expression too! So much fun.

5. Amazing, kind people always willing to help, whether it’s with something serious like a family member’s illness or just picking out what to wear for a job interview. I think the atmosphere of kindness and mutual respect is what I love most about Weddingbee.

The best advice received was a posting on the venue where my ceremony and reception will be held.  I’d never heard of it before, but the prices seemed to fit my budget.  Since that postin, much has been done at the venue and it will be even more amazing.  That google search put so much info and so many resourceful women at my fingertips!

I found a lot of the etiquette advice to be really helpful. I joined the Bee after getting legally married but I was in the process of planning my bigger reception.

@haker4:  It’s a cute little ceremony (usually before your ceremony starts) where the rings are tied together by ribbon and passed around by your friends and family. they are supposed to “warm” the rings with love and well wishes before they are placed on your hand as your wedding band. I like the sweet sentiment:) there’s cute little poems to go with it if you choose.
