Not just for the wedding, but in general. Do you stick with French? Pastels? Bold colors? Designs? Also, what is your age?
I’m 29 and wear everything except French and neutral. Not that I think it looks bad, it just doesn’t reflect my personal style. Right now I am wearing Dior “Perfecto”. At a glance it looks black but it’s actually a very dark charcoal-blue.

I’m 25 and I stick with neutrals, browns, darks and reds/pinks. I am not really a fan of purples, greens and blues. I will do them on my toes, but not hands.
I am not really a fan of french manicures on me.

I’m 29 and for the most part I wear pretty dark colours… deep purples, reds, browns, greys, etc. In the Spring/Summer I have some bright colours too, usually in the pink/red/coral range. I sometimes wear pastels and neutrals because they’re pretty colours but it’s not as often as dark colours. Right now I’m wearing Smokin Hot by Essie, it’s a deep smoky grey colour.

I’m mid-30s and I wear neutrals or dark colours on my hands, and usually dark colours on my toes. OPI “Every Month is Oktoberfest” and “Bubble Bath” are my holy grail colours. In the summer, I may do something bright(er) on my toes if my nails are neutral, maybe like a deep coral or deep shimmery red.
I don’t know why, but I have a real aversion to certain colours, especially purples, blues and greens…..I’m thinking that my next nail purchase might be a deep shimmery peacock teal, but that’s about as adventurous as I get haha.
ETA: also, I’m weird about fingers and toes not clashing….they don’t need to be the same, but for me they also can’t be radically different unless one is neutral. (light fingers dark toes is my general comfort zone in summer and dark fingers hidden toes in winter)

30ish and I am all about the designs. I’ll rock a wide range of colors, and I’ll do gradients, stripes, two tone, konad stamping, tips, the works.
I don’t do anything 3d. No gems, no stickers, no charms. I’m way too active with my hands.

I’m 23, and I only rarely get manicures (because I’m broke) or paint my nails, because I mess them up immediately. Because of this, I like nail polishes that are a little less obvious when chipped, my favorite is this sparkly lavender stuff I have, and my second favorite is silver. I like light-colored sparkly basically. I’m interested in strips, but I’m too cheap, and I tried gels once but that got messed up immediately as well. I want to try this thing I saw on pinterest that’s basically modpodging lace to your nails.
For toes, since that lasts longer, when I’m not matching I have more fun, any pretty color with some sparkle in it. 🙂

@cdncinnamongirl: Have you seen this one? It’s Illamasqua “Viridian” and it’s the most gorgeous deep shimmery peacock teal EVER!

I’m 34, and I hardly ever paint my nails anymore. Manicures are too expensive in my area and I just don’t have the time anymore to do them at home.
But when I do treat myself or have some time, I like brights. French is nice, but too expensive to get done.
The majority of the time I just have on clear.

@Aquaria: Now THAT I could rock. To die for! I’ve never seen Illamasqua polish in Canada, I’ll have to google it up.

@cdncinnamongirl: I’ve only seen it at Sephora and on Illamasqua’s website (they’re a UK brand so shipping to Canada is a bit of a hassle). They do make the longest wearing nail polish in my experience so it’s absolutely worth the price.

I wear all sorts of colors except really pale colors. I’m very fair skinned and the pale pinks look odd on me. My signature color is red, I almost always wear “Ruby Red Pumps” by China Glaze. If I’m not wearing that though I like bright pinks, turquoise, or a coral color. I avoid blues, yellows, and greens. I never wear French anymore. I’m 24 by the way.

I ove bright shimmery colors on my toes (my toes are ALWAYS painted), and I don’t paint my fingernails

@Aquaria: Im the same as you! Any color but neutral or French!

My toenails are always bright colors, usually pink, green, blue or purple and often sparkly. I pretty much never bother painting my fingernails though.

I really like obnoxious nails. Prints, tons of colors, designs, rhinestones, glitter, you name it. I definitely treat myself to some loud-ass nails a few times a year. My go-to staple is black polish, though. It’s my neutral. It goes with everything and I think it’s very chic and clean.
