I just read a blog that said, and I quote: “Blonde is never natural. Hair darkens with age, until it starts getting gray, which is a different story. Very few adult women have truly blonde hair unless they buy it. Blonde hair, thus, is a signal of youth (however fake) or even infancy. Hence blonde jokes and dumb-blonde references.”
I disagree. I do not dye my hair, never have (once ina while I will get the clear shine treatment but it doesn’t change my color) so that blog got me thinking about haircolor.
Just wondering percentages of what everyones’ natural colors are! (Color choices taken from wikipedia article on hair color)

My natural hair is medium brown with a touch of red in it. I’ve only dyed it twice before. Once when I was 12, I dyed it blonde… it looked horrid lol. A couple of years ago I dyed it using Henna, which was very subtle, but nice!
My SIL and my husband both have very light blonde hair. My Darling Husband is 25, my SIL is 30.

I have very dark brown hair that appears black except under sunlight…oddly enough when I have my natural hair color there is a reddish highlight in the sun, even though my hair is so dark.

Uh…I’m not sure about that…but my hair is like a light brown/dark blonde with natural highlights

My natural hair is dark brown (and at least 20% gray :p not cool) but I dye it red. I’ve wanted red hair ever since I was a little kid.

@SimplyMrsC: My sister has hair like yours (from what you described), people often think that she dyes hers lol, but it’s natural!

Um, I don’t know. I haven’t seen my natural hair color since I was about 13. The last time I saw it, it was a darkish blond with some light red highlights. I’ve been dyeing it since…mostly different shades of red.

Mine is reddish brown, but not quite auburn. Kind of hard to describe. . . You need an “other” category 🙂

I’ve always been a brunette, my sister was blond until high school but her hair darkened and now she’s a brunette, my SO was blonde until he was 5 when his hair darkened and now he’s a brunette.

Mine is light/medium brown naturally

I can’t tell if my color choice is listed in the poll. My natural hair color is dark brown but it’s been through the ringer. My mom let me put blonde highlights in it when I was younger and I continued to do it on my own afterward – there are no words to describe the awfulness of that decision. After that, my hair just was really lighter. I got some nicer highlights done when I was a little older that really looked good on me, but I would go to different stylists and they would all say that what the other stylist had done wasn’t good and eventually my hair was just multicolored! One summer I put a few red streaks in my hair, and it was fun and all, but eventually I was ready to get rid of it so it was dyed a dark brown like my natural color and it was just gorgeous. Then last summer I ombred my hair DIY style and put it back right before the wedding.
I sincerely miss my ombre.

Mine is a dirty blond. I dye it auburn and I know for sure that naturally it’s blonde because it’s a huge pain when the blond roots start to grow out. Very unattractive.
I don’t know how the author of that blog would explain all the women who have blond hair on other parts of their body that they obviously don’t dye. Chances are if it’s blond downstairs, it’s blond upstairs.

My natural color is a dark ash blonde. I’ve had just about every color, but right now it is a very light reddish brown.

Mine’s a kind of ashy blonde, quite blonde after seeing some sun, and leaning a little more dark blonde/light brown in the winter. Passport says blonde and they didn’t dissagree with me.

@DeathByDesign: I am glad I’m not the only one! Although, I haven’t had my natural hair color in awhile.
