I am trying to figure ours out as well!
Possibly doing Coldplay "Viva la Vida" <-- his choice :)
or "Beautiful Day" by U2.
These will both be played by just piano though... in the church! I love contemporary music for a ceremony though!
I'm using "Lucky" by Jason Mraz/Colbie Callait.
I think you could easily use that Beatle's song without looking like you "copied" that bride, since I think that is a fairly popular choice (especially after "Love Actually" came out and they used it during the recessional in the wedding scene with Keira Knightly). If you love it, use it! :)
We chose "I've Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas.
I know, right? But we're both a liiiittle bit quirky. It'll be great.
FI was wowed last night (!) with this one when I played him a few options:
[This Will Be] An Everlasting Love by Natalie Cole.
la rejoissance on cello is ours.
but if were using contemporary music I'd use "for once in my life"
we're using "signed, sealed, delivered I'm yours" -stevie wonder :)
There are tons of other beatles songs that would be super cute though. Maybe you could just choose a different one? I love 8 days a week!
Pretty sure we're going to use some VSQ Beatles covers. We don't know which one yet, though. Honestly, it will probably be All You Need Is Love, but VSQ is instrumental.
We're going with the Beatles too, but we're using "She Loves You." It will be on a string quartet, and I'm thinking it will be along these lines. At least that's what I sent to the musicians. :)
we're doing "don't stop believing" - sounds great on strings. i guess its kinda random but it fits us....
i wouldn't worry about people thinking you copied all you need is love - lots of people have used it.
"She's Mine" - Brett Dennen.. It's just a really feel good song ;)
I am tee'd off because the phone commercials have ruined "All You Need Is Love" for me :( :(
"You make my dreams come true" Hall & Oats....Love it and I can't help but start to dance.
Edit: Listening to it right now!
We're also walking out to "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait. That's one of our favorite songs and it really speaks to us as a couple! We're doing a mix of traditional/contemporary music. My bridesmaids are walking in to "Canon in D" and I'm using the traditional "Bridal March" just because I love those two songs, but most of the other music is contemporary!

Weather permitting, FI are getting married outdoors. We are using non-traditional music/songs for the processional, but we are stumped on what to use for the recessional? We went to a wedding in the fall where the couple's recessional music was the Beatles "All You Need Is Love"- which I loved and had wanted for my wedding, but I don't want everyone to think I stole her idea.
What are you bees using?
