With only 3 months to go, I realized I don’t have a something old in mind (or a something borrowed, eeks!)
I am considering using a ring my great-grandmother left to me as my RHR for the wedding, what do you think?
the issue is it needs to be re-sized to fit my right ring finger rather than my pinky (I tried really hard to capture it on my right hand but I am way too clumsy with my left to take a picture lol)
The ring is a pink sapphire solitaire in yellow gold. Its funny how similar it is to my e-ring. I wonder if it is too similar for the wedding?

My something old was a broach that was my grandmothers. I pinned it onto my bouquet. It looked beautiful – like it was meant to be there

My something is old is going to be a simple diamond “tennis bracelet” that my grandfather (who passed away 10 years ago) gave to my Grandmother.. and then my grandmother gave it to my mother 🙂
I think your ring is gorgeous. I say wear it if you can, even if it’s similar.

mine is the center diamond of the engagement ring (it was the FI’s grandmothers she left to his mother)! But I am also incorporating one of my great grandmothers brooches into my bouquet because she cannot travel to be there at the wedding and I want to feel like shes close to my heart! ps she is also being webcasted in by skype for the ceremony!!

My something old is a blue and white sapphire bracelet that my aunt bought in India back in the ’60s or ’70s. It’s also something blue 🙂 It’s sort of an antique-y yellow gold and my e-ring is platinum, but hopefully they still look ok together because I love it!

If you don’t want to wear it on your pinky finger, you can always pin it to the inside of your dress. [Close to your heart if you’re feeling sentimental or somewhere else if its more comfortable]

Mine is my aunts veil…Something from the 70’s is old, right? lol
It was attached to a hat, but we had it changed (thank goodness lol)

I had a piece of my grandmother’s dress sewn into the lining of mine.

@petitfour: But the hat is so stylin’! Haha, it looks beautiful on you, with or without the hat (but especially without :-))

My dress! It was my moms wedding dress!

My mom gave me a rosary that belonged to her grandmother, and I’m going to wrap in around my bouquet. It’s also my something blue. 🙂

Oh man, after reading everybody’s posts, I feel like my old isn’t old enough. Mine is 20+ years old… I used to be a dancer, and my mom has saved every single dance costume I’ve ever worn. I am using the tulle and satin from my very first dance costume to wrap my bouquet.

My something old will be my mom’s engagement ring worn as a right hand ring. My mom passed away (I’m adopted, but she’s still my mom, ya know?) and she left me her e-ring. It’s yellow gold (?K) with probably about a 1/3 carat diamond. I haven’t had it appraised, but it means a ton to me. The ring is probably 65-70 years old.

My something old was a vintage bracelet that used to belong to my great grandmother. It also has blue sapphires in it so it was my something blue.
