“It’s one day — or a lifetime of cats!” (No offense to cat lovers of course!)

Mine was “As long as he’s there and I’m there – it will be perfect!” Everything else was icing on the cake…

@Sunnybrook:  + 1,000,000,000,000,000… with one minor change: “OUR wedding.”

I also used “Less is more … and more is less.”

Is anyone going to leave because ________?  No?  Then I don’t care.

This really came into play the last few weeks before my wedding, but I used it all along to remind myself I don’t HAVE TO HAVE every detail I find on pinterest (i.e. barn reception, uplighting, huge centerpieces, etc.)

“So long as we are married…”

“If they don’t like it, eff em…”

@Sunnybrook:  LOVE that quote about a more beautiful marriage!

I don’t have a nice little saying, but a lot of times I remind myself, “No one will know there were so many choices.” When I’m trying to decide on little detail things and pick this font or that font, this flavor cake or that flavor cake, this centerpiece or that centerpiece… whatever you pick will look fantastic because that’s the only option everyone else will ever see. When you have a lot of choice, it’s easy to end up overwhelmed and unhappy with what you choose, but just chill, because no one else knew what all the choices were.

Even though Mr. 99 and I got engaged on Valentine’s Day and we were married April 25th of the same year, it got a little crazy, and since we were literally running toward the finish line of an extravagent honeymoon on the island of Vatulele..we just kept saying,

“Fiji….fiji….FIJI!!!”

Totally got us through it, and was even better than we could have imagined!

Posted about this before… I repeat this mantra every day…

“It’s my wedding, and…..

I will do whatever the **** I want.

I will do whatever the **** I want.

I will do whatever the **** I want.”

It seldom works, of course, but it does make me feel a whole lot better, because it reminds me that I can’t please everyone.

I started out wedding planning aiming to give all my guests an amazing day. Then I decided that my new aim was just to get through the wedding whilst ******* off the smallest number of people the least amount. Now, I just want to get through the day without anyone beating each other up or having a screaming row, etc etc. But hell, even if they do, then **** them, because: “It’s my wedding, and….. I will do whatever the **** I want.”

Wow. I feel calmer already.

If x happens/goes wrong, will it prevent me from getting married?

If the answer is no, move on.
