I am terrified of birds. I have no idea why, a bird has never attacked me.

My friend works in a hair salon that is three doors down (ha!) from a bird store. I know that the birds aren’t going to get out of their cages, and decide to come three doors down (ha!) and attack me while I am getting my hair cut but I am still terrified of going to get my hair done there.

This summer SO and I went to the Pittsburgh Zoo, there is a part where you have to walk through a bird cage, I didn’t see any birds I thought they were all getting baths or something so I decided to walk through it. SO pointed out to me a toucan, I screamed “Ohh Sh*t” and I ran to the exit crying while SO was laughing so hard that he was crying.

I’m unreasonably afraid of bees, to the point where one too close to me can bring me to tears.  I’ve never been stung by a bee, but I’ve heard it’s really not as horrible as I seem to think it is! Lol.

My weirdest fear is totally stark white rooms.  I had a dream when I was little that I was in the bathtub in a totally white bathroom and there were no windows or doors to get out.  On a trip a few years ago the hotel actually had a completely white bathroom and the door would get stuck.  Every time it did I would bang on the door and yell at my FI to come get me out.  Everyone finds it to be a really strange phobia.

Styrafoam.

I hate the look, touch, SOUND, everything. Ugh it makes my skin crawl just thinking about it. I refuse to touch to-go boxes or cups or electronic boxes filled with it. GROSS.

Fireworks. When I was younger my family and I went to the park to watch fireworks. There were a bunch of annoying teenagers playing with fireworks a few feet from where we were. They realized one was about to go off so they threw it and it happened to land right infront of me. It blew up about 2 feet infront of me and burned my leg pretty badly. Ever since, I’ve had a serious issue with fireworks. If they are far enough away to where theres no possibility that it could hit me, I can deal with them but if not I can’t even so much as look at them.

I really don’t like clowns. I believe it has something to do with Stephen Kings IT. Clowns really freak me out especially when they stare at me or try to touch me.

I hate riding in a car! All the way through high school I would only ride in the back seat of a car, and when I was younger my mom use to have to give me a blanket so I could cover my eyes with it, I still hate riding in a car, I’ll only ride in car if it’s being driven by DH or my Mom/Dad without getting anxiety, and I hate driving as well, I can go days with driving my car! I’ve never really been a bad accident just 2 fender benders where I wasn’t the driver. I’m not like crazy about it and I don’t start crying or anything, but it’s a very rare drive where i’m not holding on to the door, or my seat belt. If I really have to go anywhere with a friend I will either say that I will meet them there, or I will just drive.

My older sister is scared to death of sharks and has been ever since we were little. She thought sharks were in every body water, except for the lake our parents summer house is on. In school I remember her crying and crying when they tried to get her to go in the pool, and one time our brother told her a shark could get her if she sat on the toilet, yea it took about a month for her to be able to go to the bathroom with out my mom in there. She still won’t go near an ocean, and I have never seen her go swimming in any thing other than that lake, and a select amount of pools.

Mold.  Also, I’m completely terrified of all bugs.  Like run away from them and hide scared.  Ugh!

Sharks, I won’t go into the ocean or even the bay despite my families aggressive attempts.

Also, clowns. My babysitter when I was little let us watch Killer Klowns from outer space and ever since I’ve been deathly afraid of them.

Milk.

Don’t even ask.  I don’t know why.  But I find it terrifying.  I’m also afraid of the phone ringing and afraid of cars.  I’m actually pretty fearless about things like spiders and snakes and heights.  It’s only totally harmless stuff I have to deal with every day that’s the problem.

Stuff around my face or neck. I don’t know why, but trust me, I never wear a scarf.

@LetsGoPens: I too am terrified of birds! And I have no idea why because I’ve never been attacked by one either. I’ve always had the phobia, though it has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I hate that I can never sit outside a restaurant and eat or just sit on a bench downtown because I’m always looking out for them. Pigeons are the worst because unlike most birds, they don’t even have the decency to fly away when humans approach. And I always avoid the aviaries at zoos! Birds are sneaky and you never know when one might try to fly in your face 🙂 (Constant vigilance!)

Butterflies. Everything about them is absolutely terrifying to me.

When I was 6, I went to a butterfly conservatory with my parents, and I got completely swarmed, I was covered in butterflies and I could feel them moving and …. just ewwwww. It was so gross and scary.

I’m terrified of butterflies too! and moths. I have been as long as I can remember.

My brother didn’t know (we aren’t close) and when he got married a couple years ago they did a butterfly release. I was a BM, and I started hyperventilating and sobbing while standing up there. Funny now, but at the time it was scary and SO embarassing!!!
