We’re working on music selections and one thing we’re struggling with is the last song of the reception. I didn’t even realize this was something we needed to decide on! Should it be a fast song, or slow? I don’t even know.
So bees, what is or was your last song of the night? Or did you not pick one?

We are going to have our last song be John legend stay with you. Then right after we finishing our last dance as a couple we are having our whole wedding guest dance to the Beatles A little help from my friends 🙂

- Wedding: November 2012 - Oak Tree Manor
Ours was the Michael Buble version of “Save the Last Dance for Me.” It was perfect – just the right mix of fast and slow, and everyone – even the middle-aged couples who had been mingling and only dancing periodically – got out on the dance floor. Made me so happy!!

@VMars: We ended with “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds (it’s a slow song) because it was the “theme song” to our wedding pretty much. A lot of elements in our wedding revolved around it, so it seemed necessary. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Our last song was American Pie (it was a tradition in my fraternity to end all of our parties with it). It worked really great – since it’s a song most people know, everyone formed a big circle and we all danced and sang.

@GlamMeup: Our last song was “Your still the one” by Shania Twain. Our first dance song was “From this Moment” by Shania Twain, and we liked the meaning behind both songs.

It will be “Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing.

It was supposed to be (I Got You) I feel good … but it wound up being Free Bird.

Ours was Don’t Stop Beliving. I thought it was perfect-an upbeat sing-a-long. It didn’t hurt that the band did an awesome job on it either!

They played “Glad You Came” when we were doing our exit.

It was awesome, everyone got in a circle and rocked back and forth. LOL, we’re cheesy.

We chose “Island Song” by Ashley Eriksson (ending theme to Adventure Time). It was a slow song, but I think either slow or fast is perfectly fine to end with!
